The first day back from a long vacation is always both a little rough and a little exciting at the same time. Rough as in … I’d so much rather be reading my book on the patio overlooking the beach right about now. And exciting as in … I’m back in the comforts of my own home, I have so many friends I want to catch up with and sometime’s it’s just fun to get back to blog work. Today I’m keeping it casual and cool in this little gingham t-shirt dress and chatting about why dresses like these are some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. {Plus you won’t believe this gingham number’s price point!}
First of all, can you guys believe this black gingham t-shirt dress is only $17 from Shein? That’s less than a lunch for two at Newk’s! (I tend to eat there wayyyyy too often!) This dress is super comfortable, isn’t too short and looks cute as can be paired with sneakers. Which makes me oh-so-happy as a mom-on-the-go! I will be honest, I havn’t been able to wear dresses like these on the regular for ages! I’m still breastfeeding Annie and with that comes some serious outfit restrictions. However, we just started solids which has really freed my time up in that regard. I’m not feeding her myself as often as before and already it’s a bit more liberating. (Although I’m sure by the time Annie is a year and we stop altogether, I’ll be missing those days like crazy!) But anyway, opting for a dress like this one for mid-day errands isn’t the craziest idea anymore!

Now that we’re back home & back to reality, I’m back to my morning grind and it’s kind of nice. Annie is already down for her first nap of the day and I have a coffee in my hand & my spotify playlist on in the living room. While I’d love more than anything to dive into my overflowing inbox & get caught up on blog work, my full suitcase is staring me in the face just begging to be unpacked. Why is unpacking so difficult sometimes!? Tell me I’m not the only one who takes days & days to unpack a suitcase. Alas, I’m going to break my usual tradition and get to it right now. Then on to picking up the dogs, grocery shopping and tidying up the house. Cheers to Monday and seeing my sweet puppies again!
And as always, thanks to you guys for stopping by the blog!
