I absolutely love it when other bloggers share their “fitting room try on sessions” at various shops around Houston so I thought today I’d give it a go too! You all know I have quite the love affair with Anthropologie and their fall stuff right now is seriously stunning. From fall florals, soft & cuddly sweaters to the prettiest plaid tunics … don’t even think about entering the store if you’re “not going to shop.” It’s that dangerous! Today I’m reviewing a few things I tried on, sharing the fit, my thoughts and letting you know what I came home with. Head on down below for more!
This skirt & sweater combo is everything I’d ever want in a fall outfit. They both fit true to size. I’m wearing a small in the sweater and a 4 in the Rosie Tulle Skirt. I love that the sweater is a bit cropped, which makes it really flattering with high waisted jeans & midi skirts alike. The skirt is also made of the most luxurious tulle and the embroidered details are exquisite. Annie and I both agree that this outfit would be perfect for our upcoming family photos!
Whether you have a wedding, baby shower, cocktail party or date night out … the Madrid Wrap Maxi is perfect for any and every occasion. It’s made by Farm Rio, a designer based out of Brazil and their entire collection of fabulous frocks are just too good! I sized down to an XS in this dress. There is a lot of fabric and color and going down a size made it a bit more form fitting.
The cream pullover sweater of my dreams strikes again! I styled it with these embroidered boyfriend jeans that are so comfortable you could fall asleep in them. The warm colors of the floral embroidery just scream fall. Pair it with a sweater like this one or wedges & a structured blouse for a perfectly chic fall look.
PS: these jeans are what made it home with me! I also sized up for a more relaxed “true” boyfriend fit.
I was a bit confused by this plaid tunic dress. I mean … is it a dress or a top!? Depending on your height, it could be either. I think I’d wear it as a dress with over the knee boots any day. But for the most part, this pretty plaid paired with a tunic top & booties sounds like a recipe for fall style I can’t resist!
So … jumpsuits really aren’t my thing. I feel like I’m almost too hourglass for them but that just may be my silly insecurities or something when wearing them. Normally I don’t even bother trying them on but I was drawn to this deep blue-teal lace & couldn’t help myself. I am SO glad I decided to try it on because I completely fell in love with the Stow Lace Jumpsuit. Paired with high heels, an updo and statement earrings, this jumpsuit would be perfect as a wedding guest or worn out for a special event. Maybe I’ll be jumping on the jumpsuit bandwagon after all!?
Last but not least, I had to show y’all this embroidered maxi skirt. At $178, it’s a bit higher price point but considering how versatile it is I think it could be worn all season long. Paired with booties, heels, sweaters, blouses & tanks, dress the Flounced Floral Maxi Skirt up or down depending on what you’re up to. It runs true to size and is flowy enough to spin around & around in too! (Always a plus in my book!)
So … what did you guys think of this little experiment of mine? Do you like these “try on” sessions? Do you want to see more?! I had so much fun in the fitting room y’all! Annie was crawling around, playing and giggling and I certainly asked for her opinion on each and everything too. Her favorite noise to make is literally “eeeeee!!” and that was basically her response to all of the above. I am sensing a promising career in the fashion industry for her one day! 😉
And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
