To be honest, I typically don’t wear a lot of basics. I love boho silhouettes, intricate prints, embroidered pieces and stand out details. That’s often what I look for when I’m shopping. However, when I stumble upon a great basic and add it to my wardrobe, I find that that is what I end up gravitating towards wearing the most! Today I’m chatting all about why a structured camel vest is a fabulous addition to any fall wardrobe.

I’ve thrown it on over a striped tee and jeans and even with a pair of sneakers, it has taken my look from drab to fab. Layered over dresses or lightweight sweaters (like this wool bell sleeve number), this vest is so versatile I could just go on all day! For those of you that live in a warmer climate, vests are great pieces to invest in because you will often get much more mileage out of them than any coat in your closet. I usually don’t pull out my heavy coats unless I’m traveling, so vests it is for me!
I love this chic fall look for any occasion. With the sequined earrings, it’s dressy enough for an afternoon happy hour with the girls or a casual dinner date. It also works for running those holiday errands that I am so excited to start doing! Who else is ALREADY thinking about their Christmas gift list? Surprisingly I’ve already knocked a few people’s gifts off my list. But those are the easier ones to shop for. My husband is definitely the hardest so I’m still brainstorming for him.
