We’re smack dab in the middle of summer and all I want to wear these days are light, airy and adorable sundresses. ‘Tis the season, after all! I’m currently on a little staycation with a few of my favorite blogger mamas at The Woodlands Resort just north of Houston. It’s day two into our three-day getaway and Annie is currently zonked out in her pack n play after a morning of swimming like a fish. Thought I’d get in a bit of work behind the blog during this *hopefully* long nap of hers and share this adorable floral dress with y’all.

I’m a huge fan of midi or tea length dresses, especially now that I’m a mom and constantly chasing my daughter all over the place. I feel like this length is always just a little bit more glamorous, evoking popular dress styles that I admire from many decades ago.

I’ve been on an Eliza J kick lately and this is another sundress by the brand. The contrasting floral print and flutter sleeves is what really set this style apart for me. Thanks to the rich navy shade, this pretty dress would look adorable come fall styled with heeled booties and a denim jacket, don’t ya think?
As soon as July starts to come to a close, I tend to start shifting gears when it comes to my purchases. Will this work longer than just a few more weeks? Can it transition into fall? But let’s be honest, it’s going to be hot hot hot hot here for a few more months now … I should seriously just rest easy and focus on summer!
