Two blog posts in two days, who am I right now!? It looks like staying put in Memphis for a while and having Annie back in school is doing a number on productivity & creativity, that’s for sure. I even slipped away from my office for a lunch-break yoga class. Okay, really, who am I right now!? Maybe it’s the promise of fall and the feeling of change that comes along with a new season that is having me itching to “do all the things” all of a sudden? Does anyone else ever feel this way?

As I was sipping on my hazelnut coffee and catching up on The Today Show this morning, I heard Al Roker deliver the most exciting news: a cold front is coming our way, finally!! While next Monday promises the thermostat to drop 20 degrees, we still aren’t venturing entirely into fall sweater weather just yet. But it looks like it will be here before we know it!!

Now that I have cozy fall cardigans on the brain, I wanted to take a moment to share this long black one with you all, along with how I styled it and a roundup of several more swoon-worthy fall sweaters in today’s post.

You can find it all below!

I live in my cozy cardigans indoors, even when it is hot hot hot out. I’m so ready to be able to step outside and show off my favorites once again! Who’s with me!? I recently discovered the Revolve exclusive brand, Superdown, and their price point compared to many other brands on Revolve is pretty affordable – especially for the quality of the product, you’re getting. This cozy black cardigan is less than $100 and comes in a thick structured knit. It will be a great piece to throw on over a tee and jeans on those days that are cool but not quite cold enough for a bulky coat.

I played up the shade of black and styled it with these tooled leather Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn Cliff Booties (that for some reason reminded of something a character would have worn in Downton Abbey … not sure why my brain works this way sometimes) but anyway, I love how they dress up a simple outfit while giving it a subtle Western vibe.

The not so subtle Western vibe I added was this black rancher hat I found while in Wyoming. It’s by Justin Boots and the structure to it is unlike any other hat I own. I’m afraid I won’t be able to go back to floppy felt hats after this beauty!

Fall Cardigans to Layer Now & Later

Okay now on to the fun! I’ve scoured the web and played a little game of wishlist finding a few cardigans that I can’t help but swoon over in the hopes that you will too. This chevron Anthropologie one was a dangerous sweater to stumble upon. And I see that it’s in stock in my local store … (excuse me while I call my Mama to see if she wants to head across town to pay Anthro a visit with me tomorrow!)

I’m also loving chunky grey cardigan sweaters, like this one. Gray is such a versatile color to layer over practically any piece in your wardrobe.

When it comes to cardigans and sweaters, do you prefer them thick, chunky and short or long and lean?! I personally don’t have a preference, as I’m so excited to finally be able to wear them now that we’re in Tennessee!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!

xo, alice
