Summer is flying by at the speed of light. Or at least, it feels that way to me. We’ve been spending a big chunk of our summer vacation poolside and I’m so thankful we have a place to splish, splash & cool off all season ling. So today I’m sharing my favorite pool essentials!
Pool Essentials
My pool bag is always packed, ready to go at a moment’s notice – hanging in our little mudroom right by the back door. I tote along the obvious, sunscreen, sunglasses & what not. But today I’m sharing the little extras and additions I bring along to the pool for a stylish afternoon too.

headband – If I’m being honest, I’m rarely not wearing a headband. They are fashion’s answer to my postpartum baby hairs. Can’t get enough of the knotted styles by Lele Sadougi for a casual pool day.

cover up: roller rabbit has been my go-to for summer dresses and cover ups for years now.

packable pouches: I stash a couple of these in my pool tote. One for sunscreen, one for kids snacks, and one for all the essentials you don’t want to get wet. Bag-all make’s adorable pouches designed to be used & re-used.

swimsuit: this embroidered suit by Agua by Agua Bendita has been my favorite of the season. The intricate beaded details are such fun & something you don’t see everyday. I’m also loving this block print suit by Summersalt. One piece swim suits sure aren’t what they used to be, don’t you think!?

waterproof mascara: I picked up Pacifica’s water resistant mascara at Target and have been wearing it almost daily ever since. It goes on great and the mascara stay put after hours splashing around with the kiddos too!

sunglasses: this pair from Krewe has been my number one this summer. I love that their shades are all inspired by people & places in New Orleans. Le Specs is also a brand I can’t get enough of too. (This Air Heart pair lives in my car console if I’m ever in a pinch!)
