What I Packed for a Week at the Beach

Hello from the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico! We’re vacationing along 30A this week with family and it has been just the break we’ve needed.

The water has been clear and crystal turquoise blue all week long. Our beach house is rustic chic and feels like we’ve stepped into a Coastal Grandmother TikTok video. Naturally, I had to pack my suitcase  accordingly, filling it with laid back breezy beachy pieces that any Grandmillennial or Coastal Grandmama would approve of.

Beautiful Beach Hats

I’ve been rotating my Sarah Bray Bermuda stunner and my Lorna Murray collapsible hat all week long. The oversized Sarah Bray Bermuda hat makes a fabulous statement (and provides the perfect amount of of shade).  But my Lorna Murray beauty can be easier to manage with the little ones. Bonus points that it folds up and can be stored away in your beach bag! (& you can use the code Hello10 for 10% off)

One of a Kind One Pieces

In recent years, I’ve fallen in love with the swim brand Hermoza. Their suits are truly the most amazing QUALITY. They even have built in cup support so you don’t heave to deal with pesky padding getting bunched up after washing. Some of the prints even come in matching styles for little girls too.

Swoon-worthy Sundresses

After a day spent under the sun, I gravitate towards easy breezy dresses. I made sure to pack pieces of light linen or soft cotton to feel comfortable while lounging about with family each evening. SZ Blockprints day dresses make perfect bathing suit toppers, if I do say so myself!

Magnificent Maxi Skirts

When your swimsuit is too cute to cover up, consider pairing it with a flowy maxi skirt instead. I love this lightweight white and yellow RicRac one from Draper James. This green floral print skirt from Hill House has a matching top available to shop too.

Artful Accessories

Do you feel the need to over accessorize while at the ocean too? I can’t get enough of tropical, nautical or seaside themed jewelry when we travel to the beach. These starfish pearl adorned earrings from BaubleBar went out to dinner on Alys Beach with me and made for a fun complement to my look.

Beach Bags

Everyone and their Coastal Grandmother seem to be raving about those popular Bogg Bags this summer. I almost gave into the hype myself. (I actually would have if my online order arrived in time!) I hear they are beloved for standing upright on their own and the fact that sand washes off easily.

I toted atraditional straw basket bag down to the beach each day. It may not have shaken the sound out all that well but it sure got the job – stylishly, I might add, too!

Sun Protectant Beauty Buys

And last but not least, I filled my suitcase with sunscreens and water-resistant make-up finds to hold up and protect my skin after a long day on the sand under the sun.

Are you heading to the seashore this summer?! What are you packing!?
