The Story of my Blue & White Sundress

Story time. There was this blue and white floral dress that I bought (from Victoria’s Secret of all places) during the summer of 2008. The summer after my freshman year of college. (I know, I’m that old!)

That white dress with its blue embroidered flowers, flowy silhouette with puff sleeves – much like what is in style today – was *THE dress* for me. I wore it any and everywhere it would take me, from dinner at the local chili’s to the Palace of Versailles.

After college, I felt like I had grown out of the look and had it altered into a top. I still to this day, very much, regret that decision.

Flash forward 10+ years later, I’m scrolling instagram and suddenly see Hunter Bell sporting a dress that gives a similar feel to the one that got away. (Oops … I mean the one that I ruined.)

The elegant “Evelyn dress” is like the grown up version of my beloved Victoria’s Secret sundress. The longer length, lovely lace details and the softest pleated silk make it all feel extra special. While the silhouette and colors make me nostalgic.

Hunter Bell’s collections never cease to floor me with how fabulous they are – season after season. These designer dresses can be a splurge, but each one I’ve purchased have been dresses I know without a doubt will hang in my wardrobe for years to come. Every once in a while, the brand will have the most amazing sales too!

Do you have a dress from days gone by that you still think about too!?
