Valentine’s Day has totally crept up on me this year. But I’ve had a realllllly great distraction, so I’m okay with that. This year I’m celebrating with the sweetest gift of all, our little Annie! But we all know chocolate, flowers & greeting cards make everything
Every year, Patrick and I always give each other a card with a thoughtful message inside. He will “surprise” me with beautiful flowers each Feb. 14th and it’s the absolute sweetest! I typically will “surprise” him with loads & loads of chocolate, his version of flowers, and then we’ll have a fancy dinner out or cook a delicious meal at home. This year, I’m teaming up with H-E-B to share a fun way to kick up the traditional Valentine’s Day gifting routine. I’m rounding up the cutest over-the-top cards, how to get the most beautiful flowers delivered to your sweetie AND a recipe for Chocolate Pretzel treats that will melt anyone’s heart, and takes literally less than 10 minutes to make!
Nothing is more thoughtful than gifting homemade goodies to the ones you love. The recipient will not only value the treat but also the time and effort you put into making it. This recipe for Chocolate Pretzel Treats makes enough to gift multiple loved ones & is beyond simple too.

Once your tasty chocolate pretzel treats have cooled off & the chocolate is hard, divvy them up and package them in festive cellophane bags. Don’t forget to tie a ribbon around it to finish it off!
No Valentine’s Day gift is complete without fresh flowers and a cute card! H-E-B, my favorite grocery store in alllllll of Texas, (if you live here you know what I’m talking about!) anyway, H-E-B recently introduced Blooms Design Studio. It’s a flower delivery service in the Houston area that offers gorgeous floral creations and same day delivery service too! With so many swoon-worthy floral arrangements to choose from, you won’t get any judging from me if you live a link to Blooms Design Studio in your man’s inbox. đŸ˜‰ (PS: Hi, Patrick!)
When it comes to picking out the best V-day card for your sweetie, if you’re anything like me you’re going to spend at least half an hour on the greeting card aisle picking up & reading each & every one. My favorites ended up being the 3D paper ones from Hallmark’s Signature Collection. We save our cards every year and put them in all in a drawer in our office storage closet. These pretties will be fun to look back on in years to come too!
So this year, opt for saving yourself some time with a visit to H-E-B, where you can knock out sweet treats, florals & cards all in one visit!
And then why not get in a little grocery shopping too!? I mean….you are already there. Oh and if you haven’t tried their “Grandma’s Hummus” you haven’t lived!!
This year, we’ll be spending Valentine’s Day at home with Annie. It will officially be her first holiday so we’re even more excited to celebrate! Hope you all have a lovely February 14th too! And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
