Everything old becomes new again. It’s 2015, and the fashion world is bringing the 70s back in full force. From bell-bottoms, bold prints, high-neck crop tops to round sunglasses – this season’s trends are reminiscent of a much “freer” time. And also a time when most of our parents were still in college!
Thirty years later, it’s our generations turn to rock the billowy bell-bottoms, and I can’t say that I don’t mind one bit!
While bell-bottoms, or mostly referred to as flared jeans, look great with just about anything, I chose to pair mine with this balloon sleeved emerald green floral blouse from Pixie Market.
Green is one of those colors that I really should wear a whole lot more. After all, it helps to make these green eyes of mine (currently covered in sunnies) pop!
As I’ve always been a fan of anything floral, it’s no surprise that I’m absolutely loving the cut-out floral details on this top’s sleeve & chest.
Who says you can’t wear florals in the fall?
With most high-neck tops, I prefer to wear my hair up in some way. The sock bun has always been my go-to. {It’s ridiculously easy, after all!}
Well after a few years of messy topknots & one too many sock buns, I went out of my way & tried something new.
This super simple updo is one Pinterest project that was not a fail! It’s called the “Gibson Tuck.” Check out this easier than pie updo tutorial {that even a person who isn’t very good at doing hair} can surely master.
And then get ready to wear those trendy high-neck tops in style!
Another stylish trend for fall: the bucket bag. From runways to fashion magazines, these simple & chic purses are all over the place!
& I have to say, this black monogrammed bag from Mark & Graham is my all time favorite!
I don’t know about you, but these 70s inspired trends have
me feeling nostalgic for the bygone era. Speaking of 70s, all this talk has me
kind of wanting to have a 70s TV night – watching my favorite films of the
decade. One in particular being Love Story. (Who else’s mom made them watch it
growing up!?) Watch it for the actual
love story, the posh New England university fall scenery, or for the fashions
alone. It’s a good one!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! After this weekend’s
road trip, I’m already on my third cup of coffee!
