A Party at Cheeky Vintage

Yesterday you saw what I wore to my little Cheeky Vintage Soiree not too long ago.

Today, it’s all about the party!

Cheeky Vintage describes the word “cheeky” as being someone that is “saucy, audacious, bold i.e. “All eyes turned as the cheeky fashionista entered the room in her oh-so-fab dress…”

Well, I certainly felt very “cheeky” that Saturday, sipping on champagne in my 1960s party dress!

So many sweet friends, new and old, showed up to shop, party and browse Cheeky Vintage’s stunning collection of tops, tunics, dresses, skirts, handbags and eclectic vintage jewels.

I even had a rack pulled out front, styled with my favorite pieces in the shop.  Of course, a blue and white striped dress had to make an appearance, or it wouldn’t be a shopping party hosted by the Lone Star Looking Glass!
I might not have remembered this correctly, but I’m pretty sure Valerie (Cheeky Vintage Partner & adorable Blogger) had said that the above dress was designed by one of Jackie O’s all time favorite designers.
Pretty cool, huh?

One of my other favorite pieces in the store! This leather fringe jacket is literally to die for. I almost purchased it like 5 times that day.  If it’s still there the next time I pop into Cheeky Vintage, it’s a sign that it must go home with me, right?
How fun would it be to wear to rodeo or another music festival? Or just to dinner over a flowy white dress?

The skirt above is an Oscar de la Renta maxi skirt. Stunnnnnning in person! (And in photos.)
I thought it would make even more of a statement paired with a pale pink glitzy top.

And lastly, another piece that almost walked out the door with me. This cute 1970s maxi dress. It fit like a dream!
When shopping vintage, it can be difficult to find your perfect fit. Luckily, Cheeky Vintage has an in-store alteration service, specializing in vintage couture!

The rest of the party was spent swooning over every last detail of every last item in Cheeky’s adorable boutique.

Really, though, it’s like being inside a fashion museum where you’re allowed to touch everything AND try anything on.

So much fun.

My sweet friend Kyrah definitely took advantage of the opportunity.
Killing it in this vintage dress and jacket!

Also thank you to Lauren for stopping by and shooting the party! This gal is amazing you guys! This blog wouldn’t be what it is without her. 🙂

And I couldn’t “not” share this last photo. Because this was pretty much what my face looked like the entire duration of the party. So excited to see everyone, shop vintage and prance around in this fabulous dress all day!

One of my favorite parts about being a Houston Blogger? It’s all of the many opportunities that come with it to get dressed up and go to a party! It seems that there is always some sort of event here in Houston, hosted by another blogger, a boutique or a local magazine. I can’t get enough of meeting new people & talking fashion in this fun city!

Speaking of which, if you’re a Houstonian reading this right now … I’ll be hosting a similar event at Trina Turk in The Galleria tomorrow night! It’ll be from 6:30-8:30. Champagne sips, light bites, summer style and 20% of proceeds going to St. Jude await you! Hope to see you then!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog! And big thank you to Cheeky Vintage for basically letting me have the time of my life!
