I recently stumbled upon the Texas based fashion house, KISSUE and decided I must share their stunning clothing with you all!
KISSUE was started by Houston sisters, Kailey and Kaygan Tissue. Their line is a mix of unique pieces in bold cuts and colors with fun and out of the ordinary accents. I’m so in awe of these two ladies, they’re in their early 20s and already have their own killer fashion boutique. Very inspiring!
I had the exciting opportunity to style and share a few of their pieces with you guys. It was fun playing dress up and trying on a few styles that were a bit different from what I typically wear.
Here’s a bit below!
This one, the ZAZA Dress, as it’s aptly named, was definitely the first one I wanted to try after browsing KISSUE’s on-line boutique. At first glance, I wouldn’t usually gravitate towards this this type of dress, (my style…I’d say…hmm…is usually a bit less bold) BUT once I put this fancy party dress on, I did not want to take it off!
The colors and the black mesh material are so much fun, you kind of just have to go out and have a big night with the girls if you’re wearing this dress.
I paired it with Kendra Scott earrings and black ballet flats from Urban (on sale for $19!…and they are the most comfortable shoes in my closet..I might add.)
I also tried their Honey Comb Crop Top. I love these arm cut outs! Something you definitely don’t see everyday. I paired the top with white jeans shorts and for good measure, a flower crown. If only I could get away with wearing flower crowns on a daily basis…… sigh.
I think you can wear this black crop top a ton of different ways: high waisted jeans or a high waisted midi skirt come to mind. By the way … I haven’t mentioned how much I love the fact that longer skirts are in style these days. A fall trend I am very happy to see!
My golden retriever got in on the fun. Ha, she actually looks so annoyed in this picture, it’s kind of hilarious. But I promise she was as happy as could be!
And lastly, I styled the oh so pretty Summer Breeze Maxi Dress. The color is very bright and the embellishments at the top really standout and contrast well with the blue dress.
I’m wearing my usual size and it fit a bit tight in the top and was just a tad short. I also had a pair of low wedge heels on. I’m 5’6″ so not too terribly tall. I’d consider sizing up for a perfect fit.
Wouldn’t this dress be great for a late summer wedding? Its so comfortable too! Which always is a plus in my book.
Thank you again KISSUE sisters for letting me play dress up in your lovely pieces!
And check out their on-line boutique: here.
On another note: it’s Sunday night, I’m dog sitting for a friend and Patrick and I are gearing up to grill out a yummy dinner. I didn’t quite get around to DIY-ing that mirror that I mentioned I may do this weekend, but I did delve into a deliciously addicting new book and spent a lot of time on the couch reading it. Productive weekend, right?
