Let me preface this post by saying, I’ve jumped on the midi skirt bandwagon and I’m afraid I’m never getting off.
This Wednesday, I attended a Happy Hour at CakeWalk Style, a cute boutique here in town, featuring stylist Kendra Smith. It was the perfect excuse to get dressed up and have some fun in the middle of the work week.
I found this gray midi skirt at Nordstrom last weekend and I’m obsessed. It goes with almost anything in my closet, and it’s not too heavy to be bothersome in these warmer temperatures, but it’s also thick enough to be worn in the upcoming cooler months.
I also love the look of pairing a midi skirt with a crop top, a style of top I know I couldn’t possibly wear with any other bottoms, but they go so well with these skirts. I do not want this trend to go anywhere any time soon!
The necklace I’m wearing is from GroopDealz , and I know ya’ll have heard me rave on & on about their oh-so-cheap jewelry, but you can’t beat $10 for a trendy statement piece! Sadly, the one I’m wearing is sold out, (their inventory changes daily) but here are a few cute ones that are currently in stock:
In other news, I’ve had extreme New York Fashion Week FOMO lately, so shopping CakeWalk with some other stylish ladies was just what I needed.
We sipped and snacked & mixed and mingled while browsing the latest in fall fashions.
And now I’m lusting after several of the new TIBI pieces that I came across, causing my wish list to grow about a mile longer after tonight!
