The new blog name perhaps?

Trendy in Texas is now the Lone Star Looking Glass! 🙂

I am so excited about this new change and I’m thrilled to finally share it with ya’ll! I have been thinking about changing the name for quite a while now, so it’s so exciting that it’s finally happening. The Lone Star Looking Glass will have the same content as Trendy in Texas, no changes in that regard. With this new name, I feel as if it makes this blog more distinguishably mine, if that makes sense. 😉

I’m still planning on sharing all of my adventures in the Lone Star State with you guys, as well as my love of all things fashion. I’ve always been a big fan of Alice in Wonderland (probably because my name is Alice…) and I wanted to incorporate the “Looking Glass” into the blog. And as you know, Looking Glass is another word for mirror, and I like to think that the Lone Star Looking Glass is a reflection of myself and my life in Texas … in the form of a blog! My own little Alice Through the Looking Glass, if you will.

Now that it has cooled down a bit, I have been practically living in this striped tunic dress. I have a thing for stripes, and if you popped your head in my closet … you would probably see more than a few different variations of this dress. No lie. Neutral colored stripes go with everything, in my opinion! I also love how easy it is to mix patterns with! The colorful plaid in this chunky scarf fits right in with the neural stripes.

I usually will wear this dress with tights or leggings, because it’s on the shorter side. But these taller brown Ariat boots from Cavender’s hit high enough allowing just the right amount of leg room to show.
