The summertime temperatures don’t seem to want to go away, no matter how much I pretend that it is truly “fall” in Texas. This past Sunday, I went to brunch with a few other blogger friends and I knew just what I was going to wear – my Anthropologie Shibori Maxi Dress. I recently scored this pretty dress on quite the big discount from its original price. Don’t you just love when a piece you’ve been eyeing for months magically appears on sale, and in your size to boot?

Maxi dresses are so easy and comfortable, and quite frankly I’m obsessed with them lately.  When the temperature finally does decide to cool, I plan on styling this dress with a cropped gray long-sleeve sweater, which will transition this summery style into the cooler season.

But enough about dresses! What I really wanted to share with you guys today is this Texas based earthy and eclectic fashion brand that is dedicated to empowering women and giving back, Raven + Lily.

Raven + Lily was founded by Kirsten & Sophia, two amazing ladies who love fashion and have a strong passion for ethical design. Their brand partners with talented women all over the world by giving them sustainable economic opportunities and a chance to break their cycle of poverty.

Raven + Lily’s collection features hand crafted leather clutches and totes, exquisitely hand embroidered tops and tunics, as well as dainty and chunky statement making jewelry and accessories that are all eco-friendly and crafted from artisans across the globe.

The Ferdoz Bangles that I’m wearing are made from natural wood and hand-carved locally
sourced leather. The gold and silver metallic accents make these modern/bohemian bangles a funky and unique statement accessory. Not only are they fun to wear but they also
 honor an eco-friendly commitment.

If you live in the Houston area, you can find these metallic bangles locally at
Ten Thousand Villages in Rice Village.

What’s your favorite way to transition summer pieces to fall? I’d love to hear!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
