The moment I decided that kimonos didn’t only have to be worn to the beach or pool, and could be worn on a regular basis – everything changed. Especially because now that I am a Houstonian, I can’t really get away with layering anything else. (At least for the time being.) It’s too hot here y’all!

I scored this tie dye fringe kimono from Anthro on major sale about a month ago. When it first arrived in the mail, I’ll admit, I had no idea how to put this thing on! Let’s just say, the arm holes aren’t your typical arm holes, & the shape of this piece really is like nothing you’ve ever seen.
But once I figured it out, I couldn’t stop spinning around in these big billowy fringed sleeves!
For a look so casual, I wanted to dress it up with some oh-so fancy jewelry. Have you heard me mention Kendra Scott’s new Mystic Bazaar Collection? Well, I’m kind of obsessed! The Rose Gold collection is stuuuuunning! The jewelry is dainty & delicate enough to go with the fanciest of dresses, while also working well with a casual tee & jeans.
I added a casual pair of laser cut wedges to complete the look. (I feel like I pretty much live in these wedges you guys!) Anything with a wedge & ankle support, I am sold.

I love that this chill weekend look also works for a casual day at the office. (Thank goodness we can wear jeans) It’s also perfect for a girl’s night “in.” I’ll be heading to the beach with family in September, where I can’t wait to break out this kimono with my favorite one-piece swimsuit! {Side note, I’ve jumped on the one-piece bandwagon & I’m never getting off!)

My BFF is getting married!! I may have gone extremely overboard with the pink flamingo decor & party supplies, but we are staying in a cabin with our own swimming pool, so I had to!
I haven’t seen these girls in 10 months (yes, I’m counting!) so I simply can not wait for our reunion this Friday night. Wishing you all a fun filled weekend with friends & family too!
