It was HYSTERICAL. Yes, creepy at times, (ew, zombies) but nothing like The Walking Dead.
Anyway, moral of the story, (zombie film or not) it was still a period film chronicling a time period I love most: The Austen Era!
A time when women wore pretty gowns all day everyday, read books, and when it was a truth universally known that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife!
But… let’s ignore everything bad about this time period shall we? (cough cough: lack of modern medicine & women’s rights) And focus on the fun pretty dresses.
Shop the Look:
Because a day after seeing P&P & zombies, and trying on this pretty purple dress, why I felt like Elizabeth Bennet herself.
I daresay, (see what I did there) I’ve recently noticed that my style is starting to really evolve. Looking at my recent purchases everything is very very bohemian and flowy.
Maybe that’s what happens after two years of living in Texas? I’m not sure. But gone are the days when all I wanted were structured skirts and dresses. (ok I still do like them but I just don’t gravitate towards them as much.
It’s now fun flirty off the shoulder printed pieces, with rather high slits, that are catching my eye.
I’m laughing in the above picture, because I had just made a joke about channeling Angelina Jolie’s famous Oscar leg moment.
This picture look just the same, right?
Hahha……. 😛
This oh so pretty purple off-the-shoulder dress is from a new love of mine: Planet Blue! Planet Blue just opened up in Houston’s River Oaks District.
If you’d say your style is anything like mine, you are going to realllllly want to check this cute shop out!
We’re just a few days away from Valentine’s Day, who has special plans and a special dress to wear!? Remember how I said I was going camping!? Ha, I can not plan a trip to save my life! We’re staying in Houston now for work reasons. But my husband and I both are so fortunate to have such great jobs, that we don’t mind having to sacrifice one weekend when there are so many others in the year. So …. maybe that camping trip will happen … the next weekend? lol. 😉 One of these days!!
But hey, on the bright side, it looks like we’ll be in town and doing something that calls for a pretty dress as opposed to hiking boots and plaid. Much more traditional Valentine’s Day attire. 🙂
Hope you all have a wonderful day! As always, thanks for stopping by the blog. Don’t forget to follow the Lone Star Looking Glass on Pinterset, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Oh yeah, and who all is going to THRIVE Blog Conference this year?!?! I’ll be there!
