There’s nothing like a pretty dress, flowers and bright blue heels to distract you from the fact that you just checked back into reality after vacation! Oh my goodness, our trip to Palo Duro Canyon & Amarillo was beyond fabulous! I had such fun getting away with just Patrick & Annie. Definitely good for the soul. Now that I’m back to my “routine” (I’m still not quite convinced I actually have one yet) I’m blogging away once more.

My striped fit & flare dress is perfect for either a wedding, baby shower, or even Mother’s Day brunch. (Also let’s pause here for a second, I can not believe I’ll actually be celebrating Mother’s Day this year as a mom! Crazy & exciting!) Anyway, back to the dress. While it has a bold print, the colors are still subdued enough that I felt it was appropriate to pair with a statement blue heel. Gotta mix things up a bit every once in a while, right?
A few of my favorite tips on styling bright & colorful shoes are:
- Wear bright & bold colors with a neutral look.
- Incorporate the color of your top or a secondary shade of your dress into the color of your shoes. Love how the blue stripe in my dress matches my heels perfectly!
