Doubling up on denim is a trend I can totally get behind, especially when it comes in shades of blue & white! I’m sharing my favorite tips & tricks on styling any shade of denim with Minnetonka today! (Can y’all believe the makers of my favorite moccasins also created these denim wedges beauties? And yep, they’re just as comfortable as moccasins too!)
Head on down below to see more of how I styled this “chic version of a Canadian tuxedo” plus my favorite tips for pulling off the trend yourself!
Denim on denim is having a moment right now, and I’m definitely partaking. I paired frayed white jeans with denim wedges and a blue linen top for this look. While this linen top doesn’t really qualify the look as a true Canadian tuxedo, the same effect could be had with a chambray button down. Now for my favorite tips on styling this oh-so-versatile fabric.
Mix up colors and shades.
This one’s a no-brainer! Otherwise, you’re risking the denim fiasco that was Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears in the year 2000. White jeans and a dark blue top like this look, or dark jeans with a white denim jacket or mixing shades of light and dark denim for another take on the trend.
Opt for Accessories.
Another fun way to double up your denim is by pairing jeans with a denim shirt tied around the waist, denim shoes or a denim neckerchief. Justttttt, don’t wear them all at once! 😉 PS: These denim wedges from Minnetonka also come in white and black! (Use the code MOM17 for free shipping!)
Think Outside the Expected
There’s so much more to denim than a pair of blue jeans. I love dressing up denim overalls, denim ponchos, denim vests & more. Doubling up on denim with any of these will surely make a unique & chic look that’s all your own!
