Cute Easter Dress:

Can you believe that Easter is less than a week away!? My mom would always say growing up that Easter was the unofficial start of Spring and you were only allowed to wear white once Easter arrived. Of course, I always break that rule! But, I still do agree that the holiday is what really kicks off the spring season. My favorite way to soak in everything that spring has to offer is by spending time outdoors, and dressing for the occasion of course! I’m sharing an oh-so-adorable spot to grab brunch al fresco in Houston along with this Easter-ready look with River Oaks Shopping Center today!

You guys might remember me chatting about my love for this shopping center in this post for Rodeo. Well, you can grab more than rodeo duds at River Oaks! 😉 I spent a Sunday last weekend strolling underneath the palm trees to find the perfect cute Easter dress. J.McLaughlin has been one of my favorite places to shop for years now. The quality is impeccable and the styles are timeless. Each and every piece I have from this brand is something that I know will rotate throughout my wardrobe for years to come.

And this cute Easter dress is no exception! The bright colors of the Arroyo Dress are cheery for the season and the double layer of fringe details in the skirt give it an extra ounce of fun – which I always love! My Victoria Circular Wicker Bag is also from J.McLaughlin and I just want to shout out from the rooftops how much I LOVE this bag!!!

The wicker handbag trend has been around for a few years now but this year it is really blowing steam. My bag is impeccably well-made and very sturdy. The inside is also lined with an adorable striped fabric and it surprisingly holds a lot for the shape too. If you follow me on instagram (especially stories) you’ve probably already gathered that I’m quiiiiite the fan of brunch. (Who isn’t!?!) Annie and I have brunch with friends several times throughout the week but one thing we don’t do very often is brunch with Patrick on the weekends. So when we do, it is a very special occasion!

Brasserie 19 is such an adorable spot for both those special occasion brunches (like Easter!) or even for a casual weekday get-together with friends. The atmosphere makes you feel as if you were whisked away to a patio in Paris but the palm trees and warm-weather remind you that you’re not far from home – here in Houston.

We love sitting outside when we go out to eat whenever we can. Not only is the weather so nice right now, but sitting outside for some reason (we’re convinced) makes it much easier to dine with a toddler. With the chirping birds, trees to look at and people to watch, Annie gets a little bit distracted by her surroundings which gives mom & dad more time to enjoy their delicious meal!

And speaking of delicious – oh my gooooodness Brasserie 19 is just that! I have always loved French Onion Soup and order it any chance I get, so when I saw the French Onion Chicken Sandwich on the menu (basically everything that’s in the soup in addition to a chicken sandwich) I was in heaven! The garlic aioli paired with my fries had me smitten too. Patrick ordered the Croque Monsieur and you better believe I asked for a bite of that too!

We had the loveliest Sunday shopping and dining at River Oaks Shopping Center. After brunch, we all three strolled hand in hand (Annie is ON the move!) to Barnes and Noble down the way. Annie explored the children’s section and we picked out a few books to tuck away into her Easter basket too. I’m so excited to watch this little girl hunt Easter eggs on Sunday!!
