Oh, azalea season, I love you so! Houston is positively blooming right now and I can’t get over how (extra) beautiful this city becomes this time of year.
This spring, (well, every season really) I’m all about statement skirts and bold accessories. But not every piece in your look can make a larger than life statement all at once. That is why I think it is important to fill your closet with high-quality staple pieces that can go with almost anything – and offset those brighter & bolder pieces.
Like my Flutter Sleeve Top for example. This white top from JosephA.com tucks into any skirt, pant or shorts for a chic-as-can-be girly look. I’m styling it & sharing what makes it extra special below + chatting about how you can get it for 40% off right now too! Head on down for more …

Once I find a staple piece that I love, I wear it over and over and over. And that is this top! It is actually referred to as a pullover sweater on the Joseph A. site but I think it’s lightweight enough even for the warm Houston weather. It comes in pink, navy & jade and the ruffle sleeves give it a little bit of something extra. I can’t wait to style it with my overalls soon too!
To tell y’all a bit more about Joseph A, they’re a contemporary clothing line that has been around for ages and has typically offered their pieces in major department stores exclusively. But they have just launched their own site for fans of the line to shop directly. & I’m thrilled to share that you guys can grab anything from JosephA.com for 40% off with the exclusive code STAR40! There is also free shipping until 4/9 too. Woo!
Do you guys also repeat your favorite basic pieces over and over too!? I love that when you find a good one, you can dress it both up and down!
