Fall is officially here, yet the Texas weather is tempting me to put on my bathing suit and splash away! Who else feels the same!? This summer I had such a fun opportunity to check out Splashway Waterpark & Campgrounds with a few of my girlfriends and their kiddos. At only an hour and a half away from Houston, Splashway makes for an easy trip to get away on a whim!
I’ve been meaning to share my experience with y’all for ages! But with the busiest summer of my life and a rambunctious toddler to entertain, it’s been hard to carve out the time to narrow down the oodles of photos I snapped away at Splashway.
While Splashway’s waterpark only has a little over a week left to enjoy this season, their campground is open ALL year round and makes for a great getaway no matter the time of year. More on both below!

Whether you’re pulling up in an RV, opting to assemble your own tent or choosing to glamp the night away in one of Splashway’s many cabins, there’s something for every taste, style, and budget at Splashway’s campground. Our group chose to spend the night in the wooden cabins that surround the campground’s common ground space.
The Cabins
Each cabin comes complete with a kitchen, dining area, private bedroom, and bathroom along with an upstairs lofted space that’ll sleep a large family and then some! Annie and I had a cabin to ourselves while our girlfriends were next door. We woke up and played some tunes on my phone and danced around the living room while eating breakfast together.
Even though Annie is so young, I still had the BEST time traveling with just her. I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like the older she gets and when she’s able to actually carry on a conversation with me too! Oh, it’s going to be so amazing!!
The kiddos playing away at one of the campground’s playgrounds. Bear, Brittany’s son, is on the left while sweet Sofia, Margret’s daughter, is on the right.
The girls say, “These rocks are so fun, Mama!!”
The campground offers so many different activities for families and children all year. There’s a movie on the lawn each night, a catch and release fishing area, and numerous walking and biking trails too.
After getting settled into our cabins, we packed up our wagons and whisked ourselves away to the waterpark.
Big cheesy smiles from our group!
The Waterpark
Splashway Waterpark includes attractions for any and all age groups. From a toddler splash pad to high speed slides for the daredevils and even relaxing cabanas for the parents, there is no shortage of things to do here come summertime!
There is also no shortage of delicious food too! We spent a lot of time in our private cabanas off of the wave pool. When going to a waterpark with such young children, having a designated shady space like this makes the world of a difference.

All smiles celebrating summer with my little girl!! Thank you so much to Splashway for the wonderful night away with our besties. Now that fall is (somewhat) starting to trickle in, I love the idea of spending a weekend at the Splashway campground, roasting marshmallows and cozying up to a cartoon on the lawn with Annie and Patrick! Thinking we will need to plan a trip back this fall for sure!
