Yeehaw, it’s boot season again here in Houston! Okay … let’s be honest though … does boot season ever really leave Texas?! Nope! But I do tend to pull out my cowboy boots a whole lot more when the temperatures start to dip come fall.
If I’m pairing cowboy boots with a sundress (or anything for that matter) then that usually means I’m in for some sort of extra-special activity! Whether it’s a football game, a visit to our favorite honky tonk or a cookout with friends, I love that I can take my cowboy boots just about everywhere with me and feel as-comfortable-as-can-be too.
Today, I am so excited to be teaming up with Zappos and Ariat to share my take on fall style with Ariat’s classic Josefina boots. More below!
I like my cowboy boots in every style and color of the rainbow, but I almost always opt for a more classic style when I pair them with sundresses. Ariat’s Josefina boots I got from Zappos are as timeless as they come and even arrive straight out of their boot box looking lived in and naturally distressed. Because distressed cowboy boots mean that you’re a real cowgirl, am I right?!
And does it get any more Southern than a dress designed by none other than Reese Witherspoon paired with classic cowboy boots? I really don’t think so! I love that her dresses fall a bit shorter than the ones I usually wear, which makes the hem a perfect length to pair with my boots.
In all honesty, if I could slip on my boots and hop on the back of a horse for a ride each and every day, I so would. This city girl is always yearning for an escape to that country life!
When the weather dips a bit further, I’ll be dressing this darling sundress up for fall with a denim jacket and faux fur collar. This one also by Mrs. Witherspoon. Anytime I pair denim with my cowboy boots, I feel like it just makes my Western-inspired look come full circle.
Ariat has so many different styles and silhouettes to choose from all available at Zappos right now. I’m swooning over these brown booties and these black boots too! Now, what are some of your favorite fall activities that always call for a pair of cowboy boots?!
