Brown Booties and a Blue Coat on the Boardwalk

Oh, Canada, you were such a delight!  A couple of weeks ago I met a good college girlfriend of mine up in Halifax to attend another friend’s wedding in Nova Scotia. My friend Mallory and I made a girl’s trip out of the wedding weekend getaway and explored as much of Nova Scotia as we could in one long weekend.

I have loads to share on our stay on this Canadian island, but before I get that post up, I wanted to share some fall outfit inspiration with you all! I’m teaming up with Comfortiva and styling their Kinsley booties for fall and sharing why these shoes are a dream for a day spent exploring on your feet. More below ….

It’s been such a treat being able to partner with Comfortiva these past few years. I love this brand because not only do they make quality stylish shoes but they also design shoes that can keep you comfortable on your feet ALL day long … and then some!

Comfortiva’s shoes always come with their exclusive Pillowtop® Memory Foam Footbed. It provides long-term cushioning and responds to each and every step you take by absorbing shock and reducing impact. And let me tell y’all, having a memory foam footbed makes a world of a difference when you’re walking all across town taking in the sights.

The Kinsley booties come in both black and brown leather and are slip resistant too!

I paired Comfortiva’s Kinsley booties with boyfriend jeans, a lace blouse and a beautiful blue (reversible) coat for our first day in Halifax. The weather was mild during the day but chilly in the mornings. The Texas gal in me couldn’t resist any opportunity to take advantage of wearing cool-weather clothes!

Halifax sits on the water but as soon as you step off the waterfront, it’s a pretty steep climb to get anywhere else downtown. These stylish shoes kept me comfortable traipsing up and down concrete hills all day and well into the evening too. Turns out I’m a night owl when in Nova Scotia! But that’s probably mostly due to the fact that Atlantic Daylight time kept us two-hours ahead of Houston.

My friend Mallory and I stayed on the waterfront and Halifax and spent so much time exploring all of the different restaurants, bars, and shops along the way. My favorite restaurant was Gahan House, right on the water. We sipped on sider and filled our bellies with lobster and oysters all with a view of the ferry transporting people to and from Dartmouth across the way.

Stay tuned for more stylish looks from my trip to Canada and a travel-guide on the area soon. And big thank you to Comfortiva for sponsoring this post and keeping my feet comfortable while in Canada. As always, all opinions are my own. Thanks to you guys for supporting the brands that make Lone Star Looking Glass possible.
