I used to love to cook. I still love to cook. But being a mother to a rambunctious toddler leaves me with quite the lack of energy at the end of the day. Being able to have dinner delivered with a snap of a finger (or touch of a button) relieves me of so much stress and makes my tummy happy too! I’m sharing how my family uses Favor Delivery for not only food but everyday essentials too in today’s post!
If Patrick comes home from work and I’m in a tee, topknot and oversized comfy sweater then it was one of thooooose days. Where … who on earth knows what we’ll be having for dinner. Most of the time, these are the days where I spend half the day crawling on the floor with Annie and the other half trying to cram every spare minute of free time I can get into catching up on blog work. It’s a challenge I absolutely love to take on! But at the end of the day, I can be totally spent and dinner is a challenge I’d also like to avoid.
Enter Favor. It’s an app where you can get ultimately anything delivered. From dinner at your favorite restaurant to a bottle of wine from the grocery store to even a toothbrush from Target. You can also have Favor pick up something totally random like your recent Nordstrom online order. I utilize Favor as much as I possibly can because sometimes leaving the house, even for a quick errand, just isn’t worth the hassle that can come with it.
My favorite place to “Favor” is hands down Escalantes. We always order the family fajita meal which comes with enough for a family of four … but we’re convinced it can feed even more. And let’s be honest, nothing beats having a piping hot bowl of white queso and crispy chips in the comforts of your own home.
And I still can’t get over that this meal can be on my table in less than an hour after ordering. All I have to do to prepare is hang out with Patrick and Annie in the playroom!
Annie always loves when we have Mexican food too so I know that this meal is always going to be a crowd pleaser. Score one for mama!
Another thing that people don’t often realize they can Favor is wine & beer! I’m not going to lie, a glass of red wine at the end of a crazy day is sometimes the only thing that can put me in relaxation mode. Patrick and I have a bar we usually keep pretty well stocked but when one of us finds it bare, the last thing either of us wants to do is head out to grab a bottle for that evening.
Favor can pick up your favorite blend of red (white or even rosé) from just about anywhere. We always plug in our local H-E-B for wine our grocery deliveries because we know they always have our favorite brands. Plus, delivery beer & wine delivers free from H-E-B!
I mean seriously these fajitas are sooooo good! And doesn’t that just look like a ton of food!? My little family has leftovers for days when order from Escalantes.
Basically in my happy place right now!
Favor is really so easy to use. You just download the App via the App Store or Google Play and sign up. It’s easy to browse nearby popular restaurants and order directly from their menus listed in the app. If you don’t see a restaurant or store you are looking for in the app, you can still request a delivery from just about anywhere. You just might need to add a few extra notes to make sure your order is as specific as you need it to be.
Favor’s “runners” (delivery drivers) keep you updated on the entire process from when the order is placed to when it is picked up and headed your way. The other day I ordered a sandwich from Firehouse Subs for lunch and it was so nice to see exactly when my driver would be arriving. Annie was napping and the last thing I wanted was the doorbell to wake her up.
Now talk about a weight off of this mama’s shoulders! The less time I spend cooking or running out the door to pick up something or other, the more time I can spend hanging out with my family.
Now, what’s your favorite food to order delivered to your home!?
