I find nothing more fun than getting dressed up for the holiday season. And dressed down too! I think my love for party dresses and cozy sweaters is just about equal to one another. Whether you’re shopping for a holiday cocktail party or are looking for something cute and comfortable to wear at home on Christmas morning, Gordmans is a one-stop shop for both!
I recently grabbed a few things to style and share with y’all at my local Gordmans. Gordmans is a department store offering pretty much every category, men’s & women’s fashion, home decor, shoes, kids clothing, accessories and more. Not to mention, they also have an amazing collection of holiday decor and gifts for the entire family this time of year!
I had SO much fun putting two cute Christmas outfits together today with Gordmans. I’m styling both a festive party look and a cozy at home holiday outfit which I was able to find head to toe under $200 total. Oh and just WAIT until I tell you the story about this white dress I’m styling and how much I saved on it! More below …
2 Cute Christmas Outfits for Dressing Up and Down:
What to Wear on Christmas Morning
Okay, talk about COZY y’all! (I’m pretty sure cozy is my favorite word of December.) I styled this look as if it was something that I would wear on Christmas morning at home. I mean, I totally WILL wear this if Houston has the weather for it. *Fingers crossed*
I found this cable knit cream sweater for less than $20 and my plaid wrap for only $15 at Gordmans. My pink beanie was only $8 too! I couldn’t believe these amazing deals, y’all! It took everything in me not to grab a beanie in each color at that price point because you know … matching beanies w/ our outfit is basically winter accessorizing goals. I loved how my pink one picked up the subtle pink details on my plaid wrap too. I’m not usually one for pink but I was loving this combo.
When I’m at home, it’s fuzzy slippers all the way this time of year. Christmas morning will be no exception. This mocassin-like pair is by Jessica Simpson and were less than $15 too! You can find these and/or similar pieces to what I’m wearing above all at Gordmans.
Winter Whites for Your Next Holiday Party
Now for this festive look! You guys are not going to believe the details behind this white tea length dress. First of all, that no-white after Labor Day rule is for the birds in my opinion. Winter White is a “thing” and it is here to stay! However, when it comes to wearing white this time of year it is all about how you accessorize it. I chose a chunky gray scarf with matching embroidered booties to not only dress this fancier frock down a bit but to also bring it into the winter season.
This silk buttercream tea length gown boasts gorgeous rickrack details and has all the volume thanks to a layer of tulle underneath. When I saw the tag attached, it was of a brand I instantly recognized – BHLDN. BHLDN is a bridal boutique that makes gorgeous gowns and party dresses too. Owned by the creators of Anthropologie, it’s no surprise I’m always swooning over their styles. Anyway, this strapless dress of mine originally retailed for $600 and I was able to purchase it at just $39. Such an insane deal!! I’m thinking it was originally meant to be a dress worn to either a casual wedding, a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower type of event. But a white dress is a white dress and I’ll wear it as I please! Because of the length, it can work for so many different occasions too, all throughout the year.
You really never know what you’ll find when shopping at Gordmans but I think that’s half the fun. I’m still squealing over this gorgeous white dress and the fact that I was able to create two cute Christmas outfits for under $200 too. Not to mention, I was also able to grab a few My Little Pony Playsets for Annie under that number too!

Big thank you to Gordmans for sponsoring this post and providing a gift card to shop. I had such a blast visiting the store and trying all of these goodies on. As always, all opinions are my own and thank you to you all for supporting the brands that make Lone Star Looking Glass possible.
