New York, you’re a wonderful town! I’m so thankful that this blogging journey of mine has given me ample opportunity to head to the big apple in recent years. I’m finding I feel more familiar in this bustling city each and every time I go. I already know exactly which block I would like to live (in my wildest dreams) if we were ever to live here. 😉
Most of the time when I’m visiting, I find I am running all over town – whether it’s to meetings and events or to play tourist with my family. In my opinion, picking a nice hotel in a very central location is key to a stress-free visit to NYC. Patrick and I opted for mid-town during our fall stay and the location couldn’t have been better (more on that trip here!).
I’m the type of person that likes to stay someplace new each time I visit a city I love. This way every trip has its own special experience and memories. We chose the INNSIDE New York NoMad for a recent girl’s getaway during fashion week this year and the location, amenities and overall vibe couldn’t have been more perfect! A deeper look into our stay at this hip hotel is below …
Innside New York NoMad is great for tourists because it sits just a few minutes walking distances from both Broadway and Times Square. It is in the Chelsea neighborhood which is just west of The Empire State Building and south of Midtown.
With its stylish modern decor, a walk through INNSIDE New York NoMad’s sliding glass door has you instantly feeling “cooler” than you are. Not saying you aren’t cool – but the bright white contemporary vibe is totally transporting and just feels so “New York.”
The INNSIDE New York NoMad high-rise building gives guests rooms sweeping views of the city that make you want to sit and stay awhile as you sip on your morning cup of Joe. The guest rooms were complete with walk-in showers and Nespresso machines that I fully took advantage of each morning!
Who needs to go to the top of the rock when you have this beautiful view from your window!?
Even though it was pretty chilly during our stay, INNSIDE New York NoMad kept us warm both inside and outside. The covered patio spaces accommodated guests with portable heaters and The Wilson restaurant’s outdoor dining was protected from the elements with a crystal clear patio cover. Take that, frigid NYC temperatures!

Can’t leave y’all hanging without at least a littttle bit of fashion now can I?! I wore this comfy and casual look during our stay (on one of the milder days, I might add.) We snapped this just out front of our hotel right before hopping in a big bright yellow cab for the day’s adventures.
I also wanted to quickly share how much I’m currently loving this boho faux fur jacket by Bl_nk London. This British brand has captured my heart and I’m sure will do so to your’s too. Linked the jacket here for y’all. And head to this link to see their spring collection. It’s so good!
Now back to some travel!
As soon as we arrived at the INNSIDE New York NoMad, we had lunch at The Wilson. This NYC-eatery offers all-day dining with a focus on seafood and handcrafted cocktails. Even with seafood sprinkled all over their menu, it was no surprise that we Texas gals ordered beef as soon as we sat down. You know, sometimes you just need a big juicy and delicious burger! The Wilson’s was a step above your typical burger with added berry chutney spread too.
The Wilson’s bar was just stunning too! The watering hole boasts 30-ft. ceilings with a massive piece of art sitting just above the bar made entirely of live moss. It was such a sight to see in person!
When visiting New York City, there really is so much to see and do that you find you hardly spend any time at all in your hotel. But staying at someplace as stylish as INNSIDE New York NoMad we almost wanted to do the opposite – stay in and cozy up at our home away from home instead of exploring! After all, with the sweeping views of the city at your window, you still feel like you’re a part of New York’s hustle and bustle without even walking out the door.
