Thrifting with thredUP’s Stage Stores Pop-Up

Hello, my name is Alice and I have a life + style blog that heavily focuses on my love of fashion. So it’s absolutely no surprise to anyone that I tend to really enjoy shopping. Sometimes the hunt for that oh-so-perfect piece is half the fun of making the actual purchase.

A few years ago I worked in marketing for a vintage boutique here in Houston. This is where my appreciation and admiration for vintage or “second-hand” garments ignited. It’s a thrill to stumble upon a once-loved darling dress and sort of bring it back to life again. I’m not going to lie when I say my thrifting and vintage treasure hunting was put on pause once Annie was born. Suddenly it became easier to online shop or pop into a local department store or boutique for just a quick visit. I no longer had the time to sift through aisles and aisles of garment racks looking for that hidden gem. My toddler was calling!

Enter thredUP. thredUP is an online thrift store sporting fashion finds sent in from men and women all over the country. thredUP decides to list the best of the best from the oodles of items that they receive so you know you are purchasing something in good quality condition. In very exciting news, thredUP is now partnering with Stage Family of Stores (Bealls, Goody’s Palais Royal, Peebles, Stage) to launch mini pop-up thrift-able boutiques right smack dab in the middle of select Stage stores! I’m taking you all along a shopping trip to my local pop-up at Palais Royal, spilling deets on this cool collab and styling three fabulous finds for summer below!

Shop on Trend for a Steal

What makes the thredUP and Stage Stores pop-up really stand out to me is the fact that the products filling the shelves have all been curated for the styles and trends of the current season. You know walking in that you’ll find an array of tanks, shorts, bright blouses, and summer dresses without having to sift through dozens of racks to do so. For those of us who love a good fashion find (and a killer deal at that) Stage Stores’ thredUP pop-ups take the time-consuming hunt out of thrifting while still giving you the satisfaction of a great fashion find.

& Save up to 90% off Retail

From printed scarves to statement necklaces and floral frocks, my local Palais Royal’s thredUP assortment for summer is right on trend. No styles are added every week too! Many of the pieces I spotted were by notable labels and up to 90% off their original retail price. Anthropologie dresses, J.Crew scarves, and Ann Taylor blouses seemed to dot the racks all sporting price tags that would make your jaw drop!

Finish with thredUP’s Clean Out Kit

After doing a bit of shopping, you may even be inspired to get in on the resale fun with your own items at home. My local Palais Royal was giving out free thredUP Clean Out Kits. Inside the kit, you’ll find a large plastic pouch with a pre-paid shipping label, instructions, and tips on how to maximize your resales. Something like this certainly makes it easier to empty out that closet of your’s, doesn’t it?!

My Finds from the thredUP pop-up

I left Palais Royal’s thredUP pop-up with three fabulous finds that I’m so excited to share with y’all today. I grabbed an Anthropologie knit dress for $15, a LOFT embroidered blouse for $9 and another long sleeve blouse for $11. My total brought me to $35 and I’m pretty sure all of these pieces purchased full price together would have come closer to $250. So wild!

The three pieces I found were all from brands I already loved and on trend too. But the best thing about them was that each piece was incredibly comfortable. I’m talking softer than soft. Something you’d want to wear all day long no matter the occasion – lunch out with friends or a tv-binge at home!

Cheers to that right!?

You can find Stage Stores’ thredUP pop-up in select Palais Royal, Peebles and Bealls stores right now. Click here for more information on the pop-up and to shop Stage online too.

Are you a fan of thrifting? It really is like a modern day treasure hunt! I had such fun teaming up with Stage Stores to create this post for y’all. As always, all opinions are my own and thank you so much for supporting the brands that make Lone Star Looking Glass possible.
