Musing of the morning: Do you leave your pumpkins sitting out in all of their splendor on your front porch even after Halloween?! I just don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye after tomorrow’s festivities. I definitely plan to leave mine out all the way through the end of November. Just one little month of pumpkin decor doesn’t do it for me so I’m glad we can carry on with the fall festivities and fashion trends, like pom pom sweaters, even after October 31st.
Today, I’m taking you to my Uncle’s Farm where I wore this oh-so-cozy pom pom sweater paired with heavy-duty shearling combat boots for a morning spent strolling the farm & enjoying the fall weather. Head on down for more of this look, outfit details & a special coupon code for these boots!
My uncle lives far outside of town in an antebellum farmhouse which upon entering you wouldn’t know that a single year has passed since it was built in the early 19th-century. It’s one of my favorite places in the world (Patrick & I even got married here!) and now that we’re back in Tennessee we get to visit so much more often than ever before.
This week, we took Annie down to the farm with us for an afternoon spent playing outside in the sun. I also was sure to take advantage of the farm’s fall foliage and my uncle’s vintage outdoor decor – snapping oodles of outfits for the blog too. A very successful & fun visit all rolled into one!
Speaking of outfits, let me talk to y’all about this pom pom sweater!
Fall Pom Pom Sweaters form Chicwhish
I’m a pretty big fan of Chicwish, in case you haven’t noticed. Chicwish woos me come summertime with their whimsical dresses and has me falling in love all over again each fall with statement-making pom pom sweaters. This light green one is one of my favorites this season! Not only is it as cozy-as-can-be (the fabric is super soft and doesn’t itch or scratch at all) but the pompom details are right on trend and give it a little something extra.
Knowing I would be traipsing around the farm, I brought my new Marc Fisher Izzie Lugsole Ankle Boots along for the adventure. I never thought I’d be the “combat boot type of girl” but here I am! The shearling accent tones down the “tough girl vibe” and keep my feet cozy too. I’ve seen other bloggers pair these boots with dresses and it’s too cute. I’m sure I’ll be trying that out soon!
Right now, you can use the code LTDFALL866 for 20% off these boots or any other pair of shoes from Marc Fisher.
Marc Fisher’s team has invited me to join their Style Squad this fall and I’m having so much fun trying out their shoes and styling them for y’all. You can see all of the bloggers different takes on Marc Fisher’s footwear this season by visiting the hashtag #styleMarc on Instagram.
ps: these jeans are by Mother from Shopbop. I have an embarrassing number of pairs of jeans in my denim drawer yet these are the ones I wear 99% of the time. The cut, stretch, and shape of them are like no other I’m telling you once you try this brand you won’t go back to another. So good.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and again soon I’m sure) but I still can’t get over the fact that I can wear sweaters outside in October!! The weather in Memphis lately has felt similar to how Houston typically feels in December or January. It’s kind of like I’m flabbergasted by the fact that I can enjoy my fall wardrobe for longer than a few months and actually put these practical pieces to use for you know … keeping me warm, hah.

Stay tuned for a few more fall looks from our visit to my Uncle’s Farm coming your way soon! Spoiler alert, some of them aren’t the most practical “frolicking in the farm outfits” but a blogger’s gotta do what a blogger’s gotta do to get that background! #behindthescenes

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog and following along with my fashion adventures!
