We’re in the midst of one of my favorite months of the year! How are we already halfway through October, y’all!? Time is going by way too fast all of a sudden and I’m so ready for it to slow down. In an effort to stop time a little bit and savor all things fall, I’ve made a mental “family fall to-do list” with all of your stereotypical autumn activities. You know, drink pumpkin spiced beverages, light autumn harvest scented candles, decorate my porch with mums and pumpkins galore – that sort of thing! But would it really be fall if we didn’t visit our local pumpkin patch?! (According to Instagram these days, most definitely not ha!) There is a reason why pumpkin patches are so popular on IG and it’s because they are festive and most of all so much FUN!
We had a friend recommend visiting Priddy Farms in Bartlett, TN, just about a 20-minute drive from the city center of Memphis. I expected to stumble upon a small farm with a pumpkin patch out back, but what I didn’t expect was to walk into an adventure-filled fall-themed paradise fit for children of all ages! There was seriously so much to do, see and enjoy that we easily could have spent all day here.
Sharing more on this Priddy Farms pumpkin patch adventure below along with details on one of my recent favorite fall outfits!
Visit Priddy Farms for the Price of a Pumpkin
Admission to Priddy Farms is completely free but several of the activities here have a small fee. For example, it only costs $1 for your tot to ride around on the tractor train! We had such a great time playing on the playground, playing peekaboo with the animals in the petting zoo and enjoying many additional activities that it almost felt ridiculous this fun day at the farm cost us so little. In an effort to support the farm, we left with half a dozen pumpkins to decorate our front porch and carve for Halloween jack o’ lanterns. Annie always has fun picking out her very own “Annie-sized” pumpkins too!
Throughout the month of October, guests can enjoy bounce houses, haunted scarecrows, hayrides, costume contests, and more!

There really is no need to say, because I’m sure it’s quite obvious, but we have really been enjoying this cool fall weather that Memphis has graced us with this season! I checked the temperature in Houston the other day and saw it was still 90 degrees. I’m not going to lie, I felt a little guilty sipping on my coffee on my porch swing in this morning’s upper 60-degree temperatures! It feels like bliss enjoying a true fall after living in such a warm climate for so long.
One thing I’m trying to figure out is how to dress for the season properly and not just stylishly – especially when it comes to my toddler. We hardly ever had to layer Annie in jackets, tights and thick socks back in Houston. We’re not even in the colder months just yet but we’re already breaking out the booties, chunky socks, jackets, and long sleeve tees.
Zara is typically my go-to when it comes to clothes for Annie. I absolutely adore their mini-versions of some of my favorite trends! While I can’t link many things in the widget above on Zara, I tried to find similar styles to her pieces above. But here is the link to the actual top she’s wearing. It’s so adorable I wish they had it in my size too! We also grabbed these booties and knee socks from Target and the quality of both are amazing for their price! Target really does knock it out of the park when it comes to quality toddler clothing, wouldn’t you agree?!
After Annie and I found a few traditional pumpkins, we stumbled upon over to inspect the fancier fall harvest. As a child, I probably would have been abhorred at the thought of a “green pumpkin” but now they seem to be as trendy-as-can-be! I’ll take two for my front porch, pretty please!

I have got to tell y’all about this chevron cardigan of mine!! I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago on the Anthropologie website and instantly added it to my cart. It reminds me of this Native American inspired wool sweater that my dad always wore. This version is much more stylish, comfier and comes in an oversized silhouette that’s right on-trend. It’s a one size fits all sweater and pretty roomy on me but in the most perfect way. I almost want to say it fits how you would want a small or medium to fit which is kind of a shame that it is labeled one size fits all – unless you would want that snug fit in a larger size too.
I’ve been pairing this cozy sweater with t-shirts, chambray button-downs, and casual dresses so far this season. For our afternoon at Priddy Farms, I opted for my current go-to jeans (had to nix my pairs with holes in them now that the weather has chilled) and over-the-knee boots. This pair is also from Anthro by Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn. I’ve worn a number of shoes from this brand and have always loved the unique touches and quality to each and every pair. If you have a slimmer calf, as I do, it can sometimes be hard to find boots that don’t slide down on you all day. This pair fits perrrrfectly and I love how it looks over a good pair of skinny jeans. It looks like it comes in a few other colors too!
All the fall snuggles with my girl, pretty, please!

We’ve been having so much fun exploring our new again home town of Memphis and sharing our adventures with you all. I know a lot of you may be from Texas and missing my local “Lone Star” content so to speak and I miss sharing it with you too! There has definitely been a transition over here since moving and it’s in my nature to share my local favorites, no matter where I live, but I’ll be back in Texas again and soon! Be on the lookout for some Fredericksburg features this holiday season and a round-up of some of my Houston favorites when I visit later this fall. Thanks so much for sticking around and popping on by to see a bit of Tennessee!
