Hello Thirty Two, I see you! Turning thirty a few years ago felt like this big momentous event. Thirty-one was okay I guess. Thirty two … let’s just say I had to remind myself that it was actually thirty two that I was turning and not in fact thirty three, ha.
You know what they say, age is a privilege that is denied many. Each smile line that grows deeper every day that I grow older is a true blessing! My thirties so far have proved to be quite the adventure and I’m enjoying every second of this wild ride of life.
Today, I’m musing over 32 and sharing a few resolutions for this new year & my new age. I’m also styling the loveliest pink party dress too. More below!
Shop the Look:
Before I dive into my resolutions for the next year, I wanted to share a bit about this look. This dreamy pink dress is by British brand Sister Jane and is available from Shopbop. I love their collection of whimsical boho dresses! I paired it with floral earrings and white pumps for a sweet celebratory look!
Without further ado, here are my resolutions for thirty two!
Be kinder to my body.
Not only in the way I perceive myself, but in what I put into it too. I am going to strive to make healthier choices while giving myself grace in this postpartum period too.
Continuously count my blessings.
Striving for “more” is something I think we all do. 2020 has shown me how precious my blessings are and I hope to continue to appreciate all of the “haves” in my life without focusing so much on the “have nots”
Put down the phone more often.
I started setting timer reminders on certain apps on my phone to alert me when I’ve reached a certain amount of time scrolling here & there. These years with my little ones are precious and it makes me so sad sometimes when I realize how distracting my phone can be throughout the day.
Celebrate small victories.
Every victory should be celebrated, especially when you have a new baby at home. For example, “Yippee, I showered today!!” or “Hooray, I answered ONE short email!”
Learn something new.
Whether it be a new hobby, skill or even a musical instrument. Just because I’m “grown up” doesn’t mean it’s time to stop learning new things.
Spend more time outdoors.
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! I hope to spend more time outdoors this year regardless of the temperature on my thermostat.
Prioritize date nights.
Dates sure were hard to come by in 2020, weren’t they? Even if restrictions don’t loosen up enough for your typical dinner and a movie out, I hope to make date nights at home more of a regular thing. Instead of scrolling through Netflix after the kids bed time, maybe one night a week we’ll have dinner on the patio without the little ones and spend the evening afterwards by the fire pit!
Spread positive energy and kindness.
They say good energy is contagious. Whether I’m connecting with friends digitally or in person, I hope to spread good cheer and kindness in everything that I do in the hopes to brighten someone’s day too.

Have you ever made birthday resolutions?! I suppose since mine falls so close to the new year, it’s easy to lump the two together and make resolutions both for a new age and new year too.
