This past weekend I got to play dress up in a blue and green gingham dress while out on in the town in Nashville with some of my blogger besties. It was SO good for my soul to reunite with my Houston pals and share in our “passion for fashion” together. You all know me, I love to dress up for myself whether I’m going to the kids carpool or out to dinner with friends. It was so refreshing to spend a few days with my fashion loving girls who were just as enthusiastic about what we were going to wear while in Music City.
I could also be on such a high from our weekend together because it was also my first girl’s trip post pandemic and first time to go out on the town in such a big way. Have you all been feeling like you’ve been doing a lot of “firsts” lately too!?
I dressed up for a morning of exploring in this gorgeous gingham halter dress. More on this look below!
Blue and Green Gingham Dress
My sweet friend, Yash, snapped these shots for me in front of the famous blue & white Draper James wall too. Yash and I worked together for years back when I lived in Houston. He probably snapped the majority of the photos on this blog of mine too. I haven’t seen him in so long and it felt so great to pick up where we left off. It’s funny how time can fly by between visits with old friends yet it feels like it’s only been a few days apart when you see each other again.
About the Look:
I ordered a few things from Red Dress Boutique in anticipation of all of the summer adventures we have on our calendar. This (under $60) gingham halter dress being one of them. (It also comes in a pretty pink version linked here.) I love that this dress is so light and airy which will make it work as a stylish pool cover up too.
This light blue Kori Crossbody from Hobo was the perfect accessory to pair with this darling dress. The buttery soft blue leather is light and understated enough to almost act as a neutral. Speaking of neutral, these Marc Fisher braided heels have been a greatlower heel to pair with just about anything in my closet this summer. I also opted to style this look with a simple hat to keep the sun out of my eyes & – because cowboy hats are almost par for the course in Nashville too, right?!
