This is by far the earliest I’ve started thinking about the Christmas holidays. It’s only October 4th! But with party dresses now hanging on the racks of my favorite stores and Christmas decor promising to sell out before I have an opportunity to even deck my halls … I’m choosing to get a jump start this year.
Nicola Bathie is such a fun follow on Instagram. Her classic “grandmillennial” style is somewhat similar to my own (although I wish I was much as a risk taker as she is!) Her latest collection with Antonio Melani and Dillards dropped yesterday and oh my goodness gracious it is just dreamy!

Puff sleeves, winter florals, jewel tone velvets, sequins and feathers galore trim the pieces, making them perfect for a celebratory soiree. I will say, the price point is a bit higher than I expected. Most dresses sit right around $349 with shoes and jewelry between $100-$200+. Thankfully, the quality of the styles I was able to touch and feel in person reflect the craftsmanship and care that went into each pieces.
I’ve never been much of a sequin girl, but when I slipped on this feathery rose gold sequin maxi dress I almost gasped. And was instantly converted. Sequin girl for life!! The fit is just beyond! I felt as elegant as someone like … dare I say … Kate Middleton even! This dress (or should we call it a gown?!) would be dreamy for an evening at the Nutcracker Ballet, a New Year’s Eve ball or a festive Christmas fete.
