Hello blogosphere, I’ve missed you!
Last week, I attended The Southern C, a women-in-business conference in Sea Island, GA. It was an invigorating, fun-filled week that left me filling inspired, creative, and optimistic about everything to come.
It also left me realizing how much I missed long form blog posts – and the opportunity it gives to share longer and more informative stories that go above and beyond what Instagram or TikTok can do.
It’s also nice to share content in a permanent place. Life has gotten so “insta” lately – in all aspects. I’m hopeful sitting down, writing blog posts / substacks, and continuing to check in on so many others longer form posts can in a way, slow me down again. Do you ever feel similarly?
Back to Blogging and Back to Breaking Down: THE OUTFIT
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, you’re either dreaming up what to wear on a fanciful date night out … or searching high and low for 25 non-edible trinkets to tie onto your children’s Valentine’s Day cards. If you’re like me, you’re the latter this year.
This season of life has Patrick and I happy to “celebrate” the holiday by dining on take-out while a rental movie entertains us in the background. Wouldn’t have it any other way!
The shades of red and pink I may have worn to a four-course dinner are now saved for the Valentines exchange at Annie and Bennett’s classroom parties.
And to be honest, getting dressed up for those themed class parties is more fun than you’d ever imagine it could be!
Draper James Galentine’s Collection equal parts romantic, playful, and sophisticated.
Reese Witherspoon’s stunning Southern line has done it again this this curated Valentine’s capsule. Pieces both casual + festive enough for the kids classroom and lovely enough to mix and match with more elegant styles for a romantic dinner downtown.
I’m wearing the Hollie Midi Dress – a silky crepe stunner that’s cinched at the waist with a subtle v-neck detail. To keep warm (and spread good cheer) it’s layered with a cashmere-wool blend crewneck sweater, also from Draper James.
Bernardo’s gold pointed-toe mary jane heels dress everything up!

Wishing you all a February 14th filled with love and laughter now matter how you choose to spend it.
