Holiday Blogger Preview of Market Street – The Woodlands

On Saturday, I was treated to a fabulous morning with several fellow Houston bloggers at Market Street in The Woodlands.  If you aren’t familiar with Market Street or The Woodlands, well then I shall introduce you!

The Woodlands is a town, or shall I say a luxurious suburb, about 45 minutes
north of Houston.  Sitting on the outskirts of Houston, The Woodlands comes with everything you’ll ever need, without having
to make the trek into the big city down south.

Market Street definitely falls into that category, as it has everything you’ll
ever need….you know regarding shopping and that sort of thing. 😉

This quaint, but certainly very upscale, outdoor shopping destination can
easily be your one stop shop for holiday gifting this year. With a little something for everyone, from
Kendra Scott, Sur La Table, Tommy Bahamas and Zulees (which is a precious
little gift shop), there is a boutique selling something for everyone on your
list.

And if your man or kids don’t want to tag along with you while you shop?  Why, there is a movie theater showing the
latest blockbusters right smack dab in the center of it all.  Drop them off and be on your way!

So on Saturday morning, several Houston bloggers were given a behind the
scenes holiday preview of Market Street – The Woodlands, highlighting Kendra
Scott, Elaine Turner, and Trina Turk.  We
sipped and shopped all while the regular day’s shoppers were still just
crawling out of their beds.

It was actually, dare I say it, a bit freezing in Houston that morning.

But upon walking into the cheery California inspired Trina Turk boutique, we were all instantly warmed up.

Bloggers were
treated to muffins and mimosas while we perused the bold prints and bright
colors of Trina Turk’s winter collection.

With the lovely Whitney, who blogs over at The Observant Turtle.

During our tour, we were shown Trina Turk’s latest trends for the holiday season. Think lush floral prints and contemporary spins on classic plaids.

I am absolutely loving the pink floral strapless Marley Dress in the photo below. I would wear that to every single holiday party … you know, if I could get away with it.

If this strapless frock isn’t your favorite, this pretty pink print is also available in different styles of dresses, tops, and bottoms.

As I wandered towards the back of the boutique, I stumbled upon the most vibrant and luxurious home accessories section, that I may have ever seen.

Trina Turk’s embroidered accent pillows and blankets were – to die for. Basically.
I love having pops of color throughout our home, and I think these bad boys would fit right in.

So naturally I had to pose with them, and show off this cozy winter weather outfit while I was at it.

I honestly think that a fur vest looks good with about anything. If you manage to get your hands on a good one, then you’re all set! I scored this gem at a boutique years ago when I was living in Knoxville. It has held up for a few seasons now, and I don’t think I will ever be able to part with it.

I must admit, it was hard to think about the winter weather when I saw these oh-so-stylish golf club bags.  Not going to lie, I don’t golf.  BUT if I did, you know I’d have to have one of these.

I also had no idea that Trina Turk offered an activewear collection.

If anything will motive you to get into shape during the holiday season, it’s these pretty pretty prints.

I spent the rest of my time in Trina Turk catching up with the other bloggers – while commenting on what our favorite pieces were in the store.

I also thought I’d put together a little gift guide, below, of my favorite giftable items from Trina Turk.  Who wouldn’t love one of these colorful deliciously scented candles wrapped up under their Christmas tree?

Our next stop was conveniently just across the street at Elaine Turner.

Elaine Turner is a Texas based fashion brand that I haven’t been able to get enough of since I’ve lived here.

Elaine Turner started her foray into fashion design in 2000 with classic well made and feminine handbags. Today you can shop not only handbags but heels, boots, jewelry, clothing & accessories.
As we fashionistas browsed the boutique, Elaine’s holiday collection and gifting ideas were on display.

Chatting with Paola and Cindy from Within My Style and Pumps and Macarons while we were shown several of the highlights of Elaine Turner’s winter collection.

This classic Trista Dress in Python is 100% silk. It’s such a versatile piece I can only imagine the number of ways it could be dressed up or down.
Looks super comfortable too, so what’s not to love?

Are you like me, and can’t get enough of pretty python prints this year?

I’m
sure you may also know somebody on your holiday gift list who would just scream
over this this Bella Bittersweet Python Clutch.

Cough. Cough. me? 😉

Alas, soon it was time to head on to our next stop of the tour.
As it was so early in the morning, the shops at Market Street were still quietly putting on their finishing touches, awaiting the start to a bustling Saturday.

Passing the empty courtyard, which will soon be riddled with shoppers, I spied the first sign of Christmas.
This festively decorated tree reminded me that Christmas truly was right around the corner.
And ironically so was Kendra Scott.

The lovely ladies of Kendra Scott were awaiting us with more mimosas and muffins.

They must have known that free food is the true way to this blogger’s heart.

We were shown the new pieces that were just released for the holidays.  I’m especially loving the black and champagne Elisa Pendant Drusy Necklaces.  They are not only great to gift, but perfect for layering and giving your everyday outfits a little bit of something special.

After grabbing a few Christmas gifts for family and friends, it was time to brace the cold weather once more and hop just across the street to the new Hyatt Market Street Hotel.

We warmed up with, yes more mimosas, and plenty of delicious appetizers created by the hotel’s resident chef.

My favorites were the little pimento cheese and bacon treats.  Anything topped with pimento cheese, I’m going to love it. It’s basically a given.

By the time our brunch was finished, Market Street shoppers were out in full swing, getting a jump start on their holiday shopping.

It’s my goal this year to get all of our holiday shopping out of the way before Thanksgiving.  Last year we were in the process of moving around this time, which put picking out Christmas gifts on the backburner.  I was forced to join in with the crazy last minute shoppers in mid-December.  But luckily I managed to get everything I needed.
I am, however, finding that hitting the stores early is a much more relaxing way to go about things. 😉
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? If you live in Houston or The Woodlands, be sure to check out Market Street! After you’re all shopped out, why not warm up and relax at the Hyatt, with their delicious cocktails and treats!

A big thank you to Trina Turk, Elaine Turner, Kendra Scott, Hyatt, and Market Street – The Woodlands for hosting us!
