If you’ve ever visited Houston, Texas, than you’ve probably been to The Galleria. Houston (and The Galleria specifically) is an absolutely amazing shopping destination, consisting of every fabulous boutique, luxury designer label and store you’ve probably ever heard of, all in one place.
That’s why it’s no surprise that New York’s very own
Henri Bendel has a shop here in Houston.
Last week, Houston bloggers were treated to a celebration of 120 years of Henri Bendel as well as a preview of Henri Bendel’s new perfume,
Suite 712 (which is lovely by the way … but more on that later!)
Having only ever been to Henri Bendel when I was in New York a few years ago, it felt like going on a mini-vacation while shopping the Houston store.
I loved seeing all of the bright purses for spring and summer. I don’t think you can ever have too many purses, and these fun & unique shades are the perfect addition to anyone’s collection. The Tri Delta in me was dying over this blue and yellow one below! How perfect would that have been in college?!
Well, I would still wear it today too, college or not! It’s adorable.
I think my favorite bag from the current collection is this West 57th Sport Graphic Satchel. I love the color combination and the classic Henri Bendel stripes. Get in my closet!
But until that happens, this mini-wallet/phone case will happily hold me over.
Most of the time, I wear very light floral scents, because it’s easier for everyday. I haven’t purchased what I like to call “fancy” perfume in a long time.
But alas, I have found my go-to “get fancy” fragrance. With a combination of floral and woody notes of bergamot, mandarin blossom, freesia, sandalwood and suede, the Suite 712 embodies “New York’s sophisticated affluence and understated extravagance.”
I will forever be a “Bendel Girl” now that I’m sporting this delicious fragrance. 🙂
Fun fact, did you know that Henri Bendel was responsible for bringing Coco Chanel to the United States?
We are forever grateful, Henri!
I can’t wrap things up without talking a bit about what I wore, now can I? I’ve shared
this skirt on the Lone Star Looking Glass a time or two … because it just so happens to be one of my favorite pieces in my closet. Now that it’s spring, I’m finding more and more ways to style this pink ruffly creation.
Funnily enough, there are hundreds of ways to style a pale pink midi skirt. Who knew? From stripes and chambray, to black tanks and white oxfords shirts, this pink midi will be a staple in my closet for years to come.

A big thank you to Henri Bendal for hosting the lovely evening! If you’re a Houston native, do yourself a favor and pop in Henri Bendel’s Galleria location. It’s the next best thing to a trip to NYC!
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
