Happy Sunday & Mother’s Day to all you Momma’s out there! I’m wishing I could have spent the day with my mom, but alas Tennessee and Texas can sometimes be too far apart for a short weekend visit. We’ve got a mother-daughter weekend planned for this summer in Fredericksburg, TX that will just have to make up for my missing this special holiday.
I may not be a mother myself, but I do have two golden retrievers, does that count? Regardless, I spent the weekend relaxing, sitting back and enjoying myself. I’ve been busy busy busy for the past couple of weekends and this weekend I kind of took some “time off.” Mainly because I wanted to get geared up for a new job I’m starting tomorrow! With only two days off in between major career paths, I felt that some downtime was a bit needed? I’ll fill ya’ll in on career details as soon as I’m all settled. It’s very exciting stuff and I’m thrilled to be starting this new chapter! 🙂
But let’s get right down to why most of ya’ll may be here today: this casual & comfy, from the beach to the bar, outfit. After all, this tunic dress from Houston’s own Pomp and Circumstance Boutique is aptly named “the breakers dress.” The Breakers is a stunningly gorgeous & historic hotel in Palm Beach Florida. (Visiting is high up on my wish list!) This tunic dress, which also doubles as a bathing suit cover up, has fun boho-embroidered details that I can’t get enough of! The small navy blue triangles dotted throughout go perfectly with this striped blue and white beach hat and classic boat tote. Both of which are currently my go-to poolside essentials.
I may not have spent the weekend at The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, but a relaxing weekend in this look certainly made me feel as if I could have been there. 🙂
