Just one week ago I was in New Orleans with Annie & my mom exploring the streets of the French Quarter & eating ALL the beignets I could find. I’m working on a big travel diary of the whole trip, but I can’t keep myself from sharing some of the outfits I wore during our little getaway beforehand! & this red & white floral maxi dress from Revolve is one of my favorite purchases so far this spring. More on why below!
Flutter sleeves, a gorgeous print & a deep v-neckline – what more could you want in a spring maxi dress!? Patrick and I had planned out first fancy date night out since becoming parents and I knew I wanted to wear something out of the ordinary. In the past, we’d go out to eat together so much that we typically wouldn’t get all dressed up for such occasions. But this was a special one, our first night out solo to celebrate our little family. We went to State of Grace in River Oaks and ohmygosh our dinner was SO good. If you live in HTX or are visiting soon, I highly recommend it!
Anyway, I’ve had my eye on this dress since seeing it on The Fashionably Broke Teacher’s insta a few weeks ago. (Y’all, her style is fabulous!) Once I saw it online and saw that the price point wasn’t too extravagant, I had to pull the trigger! (So glad I did!) While this dress is more on the fancier side, I love that it’s easy to dress down for really any occasion. I wore it in New Orleans for dinner one night and I plan on wearing it every chance I get back in Houston too!

In other news, who else is celebrating Easter with a 3-day weekend?! Patrick is home today and the three of us are about to head out for breakfast tacos and to go for a long walk in one of Houston’s parks. Love it when he is home with us!! Our Easter plans are pretty exciting this year too. We’re hosting a big brunch at our place and I can’t wait to watch Annie experience her first Easter. I’m sure she’ll have no idea what’s going on, but I plan to dress her up in Easter best and give her an Easter basket nonetheless. 😉
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
