Hello from Memphis! I’m typing this post from my parent’s couch while my mom and I have Into the Woods on in the background. I definitely get my show tunes fix when I hang out with her! Anywho, I could go on & on about my love for show tunes all day (really, I could) but instead I’m sharing the deets on this under $40 striped eyelet top. I’m also chatting about my favorite pair of shoes in my closet right now & the biggest hairstyle cheat that I’ve ever discovered! Head on down for more!
You can’t totally tell in this picture, but my gold necklace says Annie on it! I love having a cute little reminder of my girl around my neck. This necklace is from Soul Feel & is fully custumizable in both fonts & metals.
As you can probably tell (from this post, this post & this one) Chicwish has become my go-to shop for spring tops. The price point & the quality are both amazing! Plus, the silhouettes are chic & unique enough that you don’t see similar styles elsewhere. This striped top has a peplum hem and is finished with gorgeous white eyelet details. It’s a great everyday throw on & go top to wear with jeans & shorts.
Shop the Look:
I styled it with these Seychelles laser cut slip on heels that, like I mentioned above, are hands down my favorite pair of shoes in my closet right now. After having Annie, I took a bigger break from heels than I was expecting. It’s true, it’s kind of difficult to carry a baby, a stroller & a car seat & a diaper bag with platforms on your feet. Luckily, these slip ons from Seychelles give just the right amount of height and they’re comfortable enough that I don’t even feel like I’m actually wearing heels! I run around with my girl in these shoes all the time! (Sidenote, they also come in brown. Which I’m contemplating whether or not I actually need….)
On another note, if you guys follow along on instagram or instagram-stories, you might have seen me mention this braid headband by Just Braydz. Literally, I am OBSESSED. I know I probably say that a lot, but this braid takes the cake! All I do is place the headband on top of my head then tuck my hair under the elastic at the back. I finish it off by dropping in a few bobby pins to keep it all in place and voila: I have a chic & easy crown braid. I love that this hairstyle is easy to throw together in a pinch. Plus it keeps my long locks out of Annie’s hands. Pulling my hair has become one of her favorite hobbies as of late. 😉
