A Floral Maxi to put a Spring in Your Step

I just realized why I’m having SO much fun with spring dresses this year. Because this time last year, I was taking the season off from sundresses. I had just had Annie and everything I wore on a regular basis was nursing friendly – which sundresses sadly don’t tend to be. Especially maxi sundresses! Sure, I wore a few for special occasions but for the most part, I was living in tunic tops and button downs.

I’ve definitely taken advantage of wearing my favorite style of clothing this year, colorful & feminine sundresses. And today I’m sharing another adorable find with y’all! This floral ruffled maxi is styled below & I’m also rounding up a few lookalikes that I think are just as cute. The best part? They’re all under $75! Head on down for more …

Houston blogger styles a floral wrapped chiffon maxi dress from Chicwish.

Sad news you guys: I just saw that this pretty dress of mine from Chicwish is sadly sold out. Sorry I didn’t get it to y’all in time! BUT Chicwish’s pieces do tend to pop back in stock fairly often. So if you’re swooning over it, be sure to keep checking back. I’ve also linked to very similar styles also from Chicwish that I think y’all will love just as much as I do!

I tend to save maxi dresses for the more special of occasions: date nights, concerts, weddings & etc. My mom is in town this week and we’re seeing a concert together on Saturday. It’s her Mother’s Day gift from me and I can’t wait to get all dressed up for a night out on the town with her. A maxi dress will be worn for the occasion for sure. But right now I’m torn between the floral one above and this one.

But back to the topic of finally being able to take advantage of sundress season once again. Was that something you other mamas noticed while nursing? That dresses were so hard to wear on a frequent basis? It’s so interesting how so many of us don’t know what to expect when having a kiddo. I know that not wearing dresses afterward was the silliest thing to have been surprised about (man there were so many more dramatic surprises)- but this one caught me off guard!

I guess since I was kind of the first of my friend group to have a baby, I was surprised by everything that nursing was going to involved – including the need to constantly live in button downs. (Which I so did!) So this season, now that Annie gets her milk from the carton in the fridge 😉 I’m having an extra amount of fun rediscovering my spring wardrobe. But I wouldn’t change that spring season of button downs last spring for the world!

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
