Can y’all believe Mother’s Day is this coming weekend!? Have you planned a special surprise for the mamas in your life? I will be celebrating my second Mother’s Day this year and it really just feels so special! Last year, Annie was only 4-months old when the holiday arrived. I was brand new to the world of motherhood and I feel like a seasoned vet one whole year later.
Today I’m sharing our plans for Mother’s Day along with a sweet treat that any mama will appreciate with Edible Arrangements. Head on down for more!

One reason I know that I’m much deeper into the depths of motherhood than I was last year was my answer to a question Patrick recently asked me. He turned to me the other day and asked, “What do you want for Mother’s Day this year?” And I replied, “Honestly? I just want to sleep in!!!!” I told him that anything on top of that would be lovely, but mostly I want to sleep in until at least 9 am. Oh, the luxury!! I feel like that is a cliche gift for Mother’s Day, but it is so rare to sleep past 7:30 in this house. Annie is a bundle of endless energy and a morning person too. Which usually I am as well, but oh one day of sleeping until I wake on my own just sounds divine!
Last year, for Father’s Day, we got Patrick a grill-themed gift from Edible Arrangements and it was fun for the whole family. (Chocolate covered marshmallows, helllllo!!!) We are continuing the tradition with fruit arrangements from Edible this year and trying out their Mother’s Day goodies. Patrick has a sweet tooth bigger than anyone I’ve ever met. So when he had to choose between the fruit arrangement and the chocolate covered berries, he picked both. And I am not complaining!!

They offer same day delivery and are hand-crafted locally with 1,200 stores across the country. Flowers are fun to look at, but fruit is more fun to eat!! (Don’t ya think!?) And this year, Annie was old enough to partake in the sweet treats too. She seriously went wild when we set the arrangement down!
This Mother’s Day, I foresee is relaxing together as a family, (veryyyyy well-rested on my end!) and enjoying some deliciously sweet treats! Anything on top of that is icing on the cake. Or shall I say chocolate on the strawberry? That was a cheesy joke …. but I had to!
