Can you guys believe Valentine’s Day is already tomorrow? I feel like February is just flying by! Do you have plans for the big day? I will admit, over the years we’ve had some pretty low key Valentine’s Days. We usually don’t go all out or anything. BUT this year we have hired a babysitter and are heading out for a night out on the town! And it’s not even the weekend. Like … who are we right now!? I’m sharing our Valentine’s Day plans + more of this festive holiday look below!
First of all, I have to gush over this floral high-low Eliza J skirt! Talk about festive. Just slipping it on I suddenly feel the need to sip a fancy cocktail and dance the night away. I think it can be styled so many different ways, depending on the look you’re going for or the occasion. It also comes in a black and red version too. But naturally, the florals are my fave! This lace crop top from Chic Wish pairs nicely with an off-the-shoulder top, even a graphic tee or simple sweater would too. I dressed my Valentine’s Day inspired ensemble up with a Stella & Dot sequin clutch and navy statement earrings that match my skirt.

Now if only my Valentine’s Day plans actually called for a look like this Eliza J skirt! (But I can’t complain that they don’t!) Tomorrow night, Patrick and I are headed out on a night out on the town with Toyota actually. We’ve been invited to the Rocket’s Game where we will be taking it all in from the Toyota Suite. Prior to that, we’ll be having a romantic dinner downtown near the stadium. And to top everything off, Toyota has loaned us their new CH-R for the week. It’s been fun driving around a brand new car that isn’t mine, not going to lie!
I have already fallen in love with the rear-view camera that is conveniently located in the rear-view mirror for easy to see backing up. It also has safety controls that notify you if you are too close to another car at all times, not just when backing up. The dashboard monitor & controls sit high up on the front of the car which makes basic functions a breeze when driving. Not that I even need to press the buttons though, because almost everything is controlled from the steering wheel too! I can skip through the entire Ed Sheeran soundtrack with a touch of my thumb & it’s so much fun!
So for tomorrow night, I’m thinking blue jeans and a red top are what the occasion calls for. After all, it’s a look that not only supports the home team (and gives a nod to Valentine’s Day) but it also makes for a comfortable outfit for the game!
What do you have planned for the big day!? And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
