Is there anything more perfectly spring than a floral {ruffle-sleeved} sundress!? I think, NOT! I’m thrilled to be sharing this look from Draper James with y’all today. I’m styling it for a special occasion and also chatting about a few of my favorite things to do in Houston in the spring. More below!

This bright blue dress, aptly named the Daisy Vines dress, is perfect for any spring occasion. From Easter to baby showers, bridal showers, weddings & luncheons – I plan to get as much wear out of this floral dress as possible! And paired with this matching wicker satchel, also from Draper James, I just don’t think it could get any cuter! Who else is absolutely loving the wicker purse trend? These timeless bags evoke a vintage feel and I think they make the most beautiful accessory.

As the official start of spring kicks off tomorrow, I plan to take full advantage of the season! A few of my favorite spring activities in Houston are rounded up below!

Things to Do in Houston in The Spring:

Hermann Park Japanese Garden

With waterfalls, cherry trees, azaleas, and roses, this garden oasis in the heart of the city is free for all who want to come and enjoy spring’s splendor.

Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

I love taking my jogging stroller here for what feels like a true escape from city life. The lush landscape of this nature center will make you feel like your miles away yet you can still hear the drum of 610 off in the distance – which actually makes me appreciate this special nature retreat even more.

The Beaches of Galveston

Spring is my favorite time to visit Galveston. The weather is milder, the crowds are smaller and sounds of the waves crashing is just as wonderful any time of year.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

Stop by to see more pretty pink tulips than you’ve ever seen in one place before! Springtime is definitely the best time to visit Ima Hogg’s gorgeous mansion and gardens.

Dine Al Fresco

We love patio season here in Texas! In the summer, it is almost too hot to enjoy your favorite eaterie’s patio. So I find that I max out the al fresco dining come springtime. A few of my favorites spots are Tiny’s No. 5, Escalantes, Bellagreen in City Centre & Backstreet Cafe.

Now to get outside and enjoy that pretty weather! After writing this, I’m thinking a trip to the Japanese Garden is in order for Annie and myself today. 😉 And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
