Gingham Trousers + Signs of Spring

Houston fashion blogger styles Anthropologie gingham trousers with a lemon printed tee.

This week marks the official start to spring! Spring style has always been my favorite – especially when it comes to colorful sundresses. So when I saw these gingham pants & actually took them back to the dressing room with me to try on … I asked myself, “Who am I right now!?” For me, these gingham trousers were going out on a very long limb. I’m typically a blue jeans and/or dress/skirt person only. But as soon as I put them on I knew I had to partake in the trend! (& if you’re wanting to try the trend too, these pants are 20% off today!)

I’m sharing how I styled them below & chatting a bit about what we’ve been up to lately!

Paired with a colorful printed tee, these gingham trousers define the waist to create a fun and feminine look. Both the pants and top are from Anthropologie – they’re spring stuff is just too darn good and are 20% off this weekend!! I’d definitely recommend sizing down in the top if you plan to wear it tucked into pants or skirts. I opted for the XS and normally I prefer sizing up in tees for a more comfortable fit. However, the bigger size just looked all wrong with these pants. Styled with a spring bag (flowers tucked in for good measure) and simple cork heels, I’m ready to take on the season!

Speaking of which, our plans for spring are action-packed! We have three trips planned in just the next four weeks alone. I’m thinking life is about to be a complete whirlwind but I’m totally okay with that. The flowers are also starting to bloom all around our neighborhood and it makes afternoon strolls all the sweeter. And the warmer weather + daylight savings time has encouraged us to get outside much more often. We went on a family bike ride the other day and discovered a park and playground less than a mile from our house that I had NO idea existed. Talk about a surprise! I know where we’ll be spending the majority of spring now!

Hope you all have a great Saturday! And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
