A New Outfit from Nola

Hemline New Orleans Boho Outfit: Show Me Your Mumu Denim Skirt

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been on the go go go go lately. Oh, it feels so good to be back home y’all! But now that I am home, I have time to dig through all of the fun photos we snapped to share them. One look I really wanted to get to is this laid-back boho outfit from Hemline boutique in New Orleans.

We were sauntering around the French Quarter and wandered into Hemline to see what was new. We have a few Hemline boutiques in Houston and I’ve always loved their mixture of feminine and bohemian pieces.  I couldn’t resist leaving Nola without this denim skirt and boho blouse! I’m sharing below why I’ve worn both of these pieces numerous times since I’ve bought them (aka what makes them special) along with a bit of New Orleans Victorian house eye candy too. Head on down for more!

First of all, how adorable is this pink and blue row house?! And the wrought iron details along the front porch … swoon! Don’t mind me just acting like I’m moving on in in the above pic. lol

Okay so I have to swoon over this top and skirt combo for a second! Both of these pieces were under $100 at the Hemline in New Orleans. The denim skirt is by Show Me Your Mumu and I love that it is just a little bit of a longer length than you typically see in denim skirts. I can actually bend over and put my tot in her stroller in this skirt and not feel 100% self-conscious. Basically, I’m loving it.

Oh and this top too! It has an elastic waistband that creates that effortless tucked in look when paired with anything high waisted. Another great hack for a mama! I feel like with all of the bending over I do on a daily basis, my shirts typically come untucked within the first 20 minutes of putting them on. So it’s nice that I don’t have to worry about this one a single bit!

What are some of your favorite easy throw on and go (and still look chic) outfits for traveling!? & thank you so much to Hemline for the goodies and such a sweet visit in New Orleans!
