A Kid-Friendly Brunch Spot + A Fall Outfit for Now & Later

When brunch with the girls calls for lattes, gardens, flowers and ample space for our toddlers to tot around, I’m a happy camper. My mom squad and I have pretty much claimed both Tiny Boxwoods and Tiny’s No. 5 as our designated get together spots in Houston. Sharing a bit about this Houston gem below, why we love it, along with a laid-back outfit that works for both summer & fall.

More below!

I may be smack dab in the middle of a greenhouse here, but this greenhouse actually backs up to one of the most delicious eateries in H-town.

Tiny Boxwoods is the spot you want to visit if you want to get together with the girls. Whether it’s a brunch with all of your friend group at once, happy hour with mom or even a baby shower hosted outside on the lawn, this idyllic eatery is adorable as can be.

Plus, it makes the kiddos happy as it’s one of the few Houston spots with a large outdoor space attached to it. The southern-inspired cuisine offers brunch bites that are a step above the rest. Think avocado toast with a fried egg on top, or my favorite the Mother’s Breakfast – which includes tasty bacon, scrambled eggs and a homemade biscuit with butter and jam.

After we eat we love to stroll amongst the flowers and find goodies to take home with us.

I’d fill my house with succulents from head to toe if I could!

While I’ve got fall on the brain at the moment the thermostat says otherwise. However, Annie and I are dressed for it regardless! My ruffle sleeve top from Anthropologie is the perfect transitional piece for this Texan. The green plaid print makes me think of pumpkin spice lattes and falling leaves while the lightweight fabric holds up to our 100 degree days.

I dressed Annie in this adorable little gingham number from Chicwish. Can y’all believe they now make toddler and children’s clothes too!? I about lost my mind when I discovered that on the site. I ordered the top in a 2T so there is definitely room to grow. Several of my friends commented that it looked like something I would wear too. Now to find a matching one for me ha!

This green bag of mine is new for fall too. Dark green is one of my favorite colors to wear this time of year and the shade of the Ryder Satchel from Fossil couldn’t be dreamier. This is a great bag for many reasons but my favorite is that it’s big enough to fit my new camera. (Which is quite the feat!) I’ll probably be toting this handbag around quite a bit this season so I won’t have to double up on a purse and camera bag too.

Some days I love to get super dressed up for brunch while other days an easy top and jeans are the answer. This visit to Tiny Boxwoods was definitely the latter and I’m glad of it. Chasing tiny toddlers through gardens definitely calls for a pair of pants!

Do you have a favorite brunch spot in your town where the kids are allowed to let loose? I still wish I could pick up this adorable one from our Phoenix visit and transport it to Houston too. I think everywhere needs a few more kid-friendly eateries that the moms love too!

And as always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
