A Flirty Holiday Frock to Party in This Year

It’s officially the week before Christmas. I’m sure you have SO much going on – I know I do! Between all of the hustle & bustle, I’m trying to find the time to get together with good friends and family to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. We have a few festive occasions come up this weekend and I can’t wait to pull out a fancy holiday frock and dress to the nines. I feel like this time of year you can get away with wearing something a little bit bolder, sparklier and glitzier than you would normally wear. This red and black holiday number may be lacking in sequins and sparkle but its stylish silhouette makes it stand out in a whole different way. Sharing why below along with the details of this darling holiday dress!

Outfit Details:

Allen Schwartz Dress c/o // Lace Up Booties (similar) // Rancher Hat (similar) // Crossbody Bag

I picked up this pretty floral frock from Monkees here in Houston. The designer was in the store visiting the day I stopped by and it was so special to meet her in person!! This Allen Schwartz stunner boasts red floral chiffon over a mini black slip with an open back tied with a red velvet ribbon. The open back, shorter length, and high slit are definitely more “flirty” than styles I tend to wear. But like I said, come the holiday season I like to step up my style game a bit more!

I dressed it down with my go-to black rancher hat and tied the look together with what will probably be my forever pair of black heels: these fur lined lace-ups from Seychelles last season. (Here’s a similar pair in stock now!) These shoes remind me of something women would have worn with dresses during the late 1800s  … which naturally makes me like them all the more! (Not to mention the fact they are also lined with fur and incredibly comfortable too.)

Patrick and I had to postpone his birthday plans due to him being slammed at work over the weekend. We’ll be having a special date night out later this week and I can’t wait to wear this oh-so-pretty dress for him on his belated big day! Do you all have any holiday parties on the horizon? I’ve been looking forward to these next few weeks for SO long and I can’t believe they are finally here. Wishing you all the best this holiday season!
