Happy Sunday! I thought I’d hop on the blog today to share a short & sweet post with you all. We’ve had a laid back weekend but it’s felt busy and rushed at the same time with all of the Thanksgiving prep we’ve been up to over here. We’re hosting both sides of our families for the big meal at our new house this year! Luckily, I have a pretty laid back mentality and I don’t feel like I’m in over my head just yet… no, I’m sure it will be totally fine and relaxing! We’ve been gearing up our home and kitchen for weeks now in preparation.
Anywho, that’s not why I’m hopping on the blog this evening. This lovely leopard coat is why! I’ve never shared this … but I’m not really a fan of leopard print. Like at all. But for some reason when I see it on a coat I melt and fall in love. So without further ado, I’m dishing on why this coat has made me a changed woman, styling it for the blog & sharing a few tidbits about our weekend below!

Last winter, I was loaned the dreamiest leopard print vintage winter coat from Cheeky Vintage to wear to New York Fashion Week. It was my first time taking a stab at anything leopard print and oh I loved it! I think it was because I realized then I could style leopard in a way that didn’t seem too “frou-frou or glam.”
A leopard coat is certainly a bold statement piece but depending on how you style this printed coat, it can become an even more fun & versatile addition to your wardrobe! At NYFW, I paired my faux fur vintage leopard coat with a billowy boho dress. The darker “more luxe” faux leopard coat that I’m featuring today (& thankfully it isn’t just a loaner) seems to frequently beckon me to dress it down with jeans, t-shirts & sneakers. This particular outfit has become one of my favorites this fall to slip on for carpool, errands or whatever may pop up at the last minute. This coat makes any outfit instantly chicer!

In other news, we saw Frozen 2 this weekend!!! Have you seen it yet?! I’ve been looking forward to its release for months & months because this movie marked Annie’s first official visit to the movie theater. We dressed her up in a frozen t-shirt, gave her her own box of popcorn & bag of M&Ms and she even had a frozen snow globe drink to sip on during the show. Annie will be three in just a few months which made this the perfect age for her first afternoon out at the theater. She did so good & was absolutely enthralled the entire time, making it an experience I won’t’ ever forget – and I’m sure she won’t either!
