Looks for Lounging About at Home

Hello from day 11 of #QuarantineLife! How are y’all hanging in there? Thinking about you guys! It’s definitely tough to turn on the news these days. But in an effort to bring some normalcy back to my life, and hopefully yours too, I’m back to the blogging grind for a bit this week with a new post sharing the best loungewear.

Eleven days in and I can tell we’re only “slightly” starting to get stir crazy. Today at lunch, while making Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches, we decided to blast the song Peanut Butter Jelly Time on our Alexa and we all danced around our kitchen like maniacs. Annie probably thinks her parents have lost their minds but she’s having so much fun, blissfully ignorant as to why her spring break has been extended from now until … who knows.

Knowing I won’t be leaving the house, except for that much-needed mid-day walk around the neighborhood, my typically weekday outfits are starting to look vastly different than they did pre quarantine life. Who else is dressing differently no that there’s no place to go or people to see? It’s safe to assume the answer is pretty much all of us. In an effort to still feel put together and stylish, I have made a point to fix my hair each morning, put on a dash of makeup and dress in flattering loungewear to avoid feeling frumpy – and thus grumpy.

If you’re looking for something stylish and comfortable to add to your wardrobe during this, exceptional season of life, I’m rounding up a few of my favorite Quarantine Life Loungewear Essentials – along with swoon-worthy styles from across the web to keep your social distancing stylish.

While I know not everyone is shopping right now with all that’s going on in the world, but if you are looking to treat yourself to something stylish and comfortable amid life’s current chaos – I hope my roundup helps you find just the item!

Let’s Talk Best Loungewear Looks

Birkenstocks are my go-to slip-on shoes come spring & summer. I love how they look with denim and dresses and they make for an easy style to slip your feet into for playtime in the backyard or even a neighborhood stroll.

When it comes to graphic tees, Shopbop always has the best quality and selection. I just purchased this Love Your Mother tee and sized up to fit the bump. The cotton is incredibly soft and I know it will hold up well in the wash too. I’ll be pairing this with jeans, leggings, shorts, and joggers all quarantine long.

On the days I’ve found I need an even bigger boost, I’ll put on more tailored pants with a comfy casual button-down. Grayson makes the BEST button-downs ever ever ever. And if you’re looking for incredibly soft and comfortable jeans at the moment, I can’t say enough good things about the brand Mother.  You can find Mother denim at both Shopbop and Anthropologie

We’ve had a few rainy quarantine days keeping us inside and I find those days desperately call for joggers & sweatshirts. This navy set is a steal from Asos is simple yet stylish. Have you jumped on the matching loungewear trend yet?!

Any of my expecting mamas out there? I can’t forget you! Now that I’m 13 weeks along, I’m starting to embrace maternity wear, especially maternity bottoms. I just ordered these sweatpants from Ingrid & Isabel via Shopbop. (Shopbop has a fabulous maternity collection btw!) These pants are softer than any other pair in my closet and I love that they don’t sit over the bump – which will make them fit well over my small bump now and postpartum bod later.

As always, thanks for stopping by the blog & supporting the brands that make Lone Star Looking Glass possible.

xo, alice
