How’s social distancing going, friends?! We’re only a little bit over a week in and I already feel so confused as to what day it is, what time it is, whether or not I should change out of my pajamas, have my second breakfast of the day or what?! Please tell me I’m not the only one who is super confused right now.
One thing I do know is that I’m always hungry these days. But I can blame the growing baby in my belly for that one. I also know that during this strange and difficult time it’s incredibly important to still support the small local businesses in any way that we can. Thankfully, restaurants are considered essential businesses and are still allowed to operate within a to-go and delivery-only model.
I know when I’m ordering take out, I typically only think of the obvious when I’m itching for dinner to be delivered – pizza and Chinese food! Now that all of these changes have been put in place, many of my favorite best restaurants in Memphis are now offering special take out menus with dishes whipped up specifically for families to eat at home. One of the spots I’m rounding up below might be one you frequent pretty often but haven’t even considered taking it to go. These businesses desperately need our help and with so many nights spent cooped up inside our homes … we all desperately need a night off from cooking too!
So without further ado, I’m rounding up some of the best restaurants in Memphis all offering take out right now in one comprehensive list below.
*Ps: I’m so sure I’ve forgotten one or two, forgive me if so! (We’ve only been back 7 months … but feel free to send me a note and I’ll be sure to update this list!)
Best Restaurants in Memphis: Downtown Dining with Curbside Delivery
Grecian Gourmet: One of my favorite spots in town! Their Gyro Pitas are oh-so-delicious and taste very comparable to the ones I tried from the street vendors in Athens itself all those years ago. Grecian Gourmet is offering curbside and grab & go, with special frozen take & bake options too.
Bishop: Offering a to-go menu from 4-8 pm including highlights from their regular menu and special Dinner for Two options.
Catherine & Mary’s: Also offering a to-go menu from 4-8 pm. You’ll find starters, pasta & desserts along with heat at home meals that can feed up to four.
Rendezvous: Pick up their mouthwatering ribs, BBQ sandwiches, and even their famous sausage and cheese plates to-go curbside or via Uber Eats, Grub Hub or Bitesquad.
Loflin Yard: You’ll find groceries, produce, wine, beer & even liquor all available to shop via their curbside market pick up.
Best Restaurants in Memphis: Midtown Memphis Hotspots with Curbside Delivery
Memphis Pizza Cafe: While I desperately wish MPC delivered, their pizza is so delicious and truly with the drive to pick it up to go. I’m currently craving their Ultimate Cheese & Buffalo Chicken pizzas! Yum.
Beauty Shop: One of my favorite spots in town! This Cooper-Young eatery has a delicious take-out menu even offering Brunch as part of its “Curbside Beauty.”
Mulan Bistro: You can order delivery by directly calling or through apps such as UberEats and GrubHub. I also highly recommend their General Tso’s Chicken.
Cafe Olé: We love their fajitas! Closest tasting to Tex Mex (we’ve found) in town.
Huey’s (All locations): Their cheeseburgers & cheese fries are one of my biggest pregnancy cravings these days. Thankful they’re still serving!
The Broad Liquor Store: You can order dishes to feed the whole family from breakfast to brunch and even drinks to be delivered online, via phone or through Uber Eats.
Best Restaurants in Memphis: East Memphis Eateries with Curbside Delivery
Pete & Sam’s: This is one of our family’s favorite restaurants in town! You can call to order take-out and hear about to-go specific specials such as Chicken Parmesan for Two and Take & Bake Pizzas.
Muddy’s Bake Shop: With multiple locations in town, their curbside pick-up is easier than ever. Cupcakes and cookies seem to brighten the day more than ever before now that we’re all in quarantine. PS: Muddy’s Strawberry Cupcake is simply divine.
City Sil0 Table + Panty: Take your delicious and healthy eats to go with their curbside service. You can also order via DoorDash.
Stak’s Pancake Kitchen: Not only is their entire menu available to go, but they are also offering family platters available to order too.
I don’t know about you but after writing (and re-reading) this blog post on the best restaurants in Memphis … I’m feeling absolutely ravenous! In the midst of stocking up on groceries and meal planning, we are trying to remember to leave designated meals open so we can opt for dinner to-go from some of our favorite spots. It not only makes things tastier but gives us something special to look forward to in the midst of quarantine life. For example, my mouth is watering just thinking about the Ultimate Cheese Pizza we plan to order from Memphis Pizza Cafe later this week!!
